Lakefront Haven Cottage Cozy single level cottage, presented by StayBettr Vacation Rentals, with everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Catskills. Flat back yard area with a firepit leads down to a large U shaped dock and complimentary kayaks. Indoors there is a wood burning fireplace for those cold winter nights. This listing is adjacent to our listing "Lakefront Haven Home" is also available to rent. The cottage and the main house can be rented independently or together. The dock is the primary shared amenity between the two homes.Large back deck with outdoor seating to enjoy the lakefront breezes, sunsets, and stars here in the Catskills. Deck includes a grill and table seating for 6. U shaped dock is shared with our neighboring listing. The flat backyard has a fire ring available for your use as well.Bedrooms and Bathrooms are as follows:Bedroom 1: Queen Bed, DresserBedroom 2: Double Bunk Bed with Twin TrundleBedrooms 1 and 2 share a bathroom with tub.Guest Access:You will have access to the cottage house and outdoor areas including the shared dock. The driveway is circular. Guest should park on the cottage side of the driveway.Support During Your Stay:StayBettr Vacation Rentals manages this property remotely, but we have a local contact who can assist with any issues that may arise during your stay.The Neighborhood:Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.Getting Around:I recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well.Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.Things To Know:You will be required to sign a rental agreement after check out. Full terms of the agreement are available on request. Additionally, you will be required to complete third-party identity verification and background checks. If you have questions about either of these requirements please message us prior to booking.The property requires a $500 security deposit via credit card, or to pay a fee to waive the security deposit.Up to two dogs may stay at the property. The first dog is includes in the nightly rate. The second dog incurs a $25/night fee.No more than 2 cars allowed.As noted earlier, this home is part of a family complex with our listing "Lakefront Haven Home" next door, which can rented in tandem with this home or independently. The homes are within view of each other and shares some amenities.
