Guests can enjoy a hike down the driveway to the creek, with a view of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby, take in an outdoor show at the American Players Theater. This unique property is owned by Savanna Institute, a nonprofit laying the groundwork for widespread agroforestry in the Midwest. On the farm, we research and demonstrate silvopasture and managed grazing practices. Enjoy a spacious great room with floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors opens to a garden patio with plenty of lawn space and stunning views for indoor-outdoor gatherings and retreats. Elderflower Retreat is home to a "cook's kitchen" where you can find everything you need to put on a delicious dinner for family and friends. This special gathering space is located in the gorgeous Driftless Region, with it's unique hills and vales which are home to many small family farms, high-quality produce and world-reknown cheeses.The cook's kitchen has a large island and gas stove ideal for prepping and serving large spreads. Dining space seats 12 people indoors and outdoors for family dinners, or small groups. Extra tables and chairs available for larger gatherings.
