A word about our cleaning protocols…. We have a larger family, and we stay in multiple vacation rentals a year. We know, firsthand, how the cleanliness of a rental can make or break your hard-earned vacation. Unlike most vacation rentals, at Chicory Hill we wash/change-out all duvet covers, living room throw blankets, and living room throw pillow covers between every guest - in addition to all the typical bed sheets and pillowcases. We take cleaning very seriously and our process is extremely extensive because we know that your relaxation and enjoyment depends on it. Our home is owner-managed and cared for because we believe that you deserve the highest level of guest experience, cleanliness, and peace-of-mind during your vacation.★★★Please read our entire listing including our house rules and description of the of location our home. Our standard check-in time is 4pm and standard check-out is 10am. We require a signed rental agreement, waiver of liability, and a $300 credit card security deposit hold for all bookings. The name used to book the reservation must match that on the credit card and the signed rental agreement. The rental agreement and security deposit hold must be completed within 48 hours of booking (within 24 hours if arrival date is less than 3 days from time of booking.) or the reservation will be canceled. Please read the description of our ceiling height next to two of our beds, our basement stairs, and our basement. Our home is located in a community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family/friends vacations. Chicory Hill is conveniently located close to a fun park and a main road - vehicle and recreational noise will be heard from the outdoor spaces. We cannot accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings. Many of the requirements in our house rules are dictated by our local village’s short term rental ordinance and are beyond our control.★★★Door County Tourism Zone Commission Permit #34-56-2937-00ABOUT OUR HOME: Chicory Hill is home is a two-story, 2200 square foot, classic Door County farmhouse that underwent a complete remodel and modernization in 2024. It is located "up the hill," on the south end of Sister Bay, not far from Pirates Cove Adventure Golf. Due to our location being one lot from Pirates Cove and Johnson’s Fun Park, guests will hear the sounds of laughter, joy, and music while using the outdoor spaces of our home. We are also conveniently located one lot removed from South Bayshore Drive (State Trunk 42) - one of the main thoroughfares of the Peninsula. Vehicle noise will be heard outside. We have a six-foot privacy fence and a tree line in our backyard adjacent to our outdoor entertaining space to assist with noise and views.• Seven guests maximum (One of our beds is a daybed, so only SIX adults are permitted).• Three bedrooms (King; King + Full Daybed; Queen).• Three and one-half bathrooms. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. (Main floor bedroom and second floor King bedroom each have a tiled, luxury shower and double vanity. Upstairs queen bedroom has a tub/shower combination with a single vanity. We also have a main floor powder room.)• New, modern kitchen with dishwasher, induction stove, and refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. • Large dining table with seating for seven guests.• Indoor gas fireplace • Central heating and air conditioning.• Washer and dryer on main level (free).• Five Roku smart TVs (One in each bedroom, one in the living room, and one in the basement game room).• Complimentary DirectTV streaming app for live, local television "cable channels," and sports.• High speed Spectrum internet. At the end of our basement stairwell, there is a small section with a slightly low ceiling height requiring guests to duck their head. Our basement ceiling height is also slightly lower than modern basements. Second Floor King Bedroom: Includes one king bed and one full-sized daybed, smart TV, walk-in closet, extra pillows & blankets, room darkening curtains, and an ensuite bathroom.Second Floor Queen Bedroom: Includes Queen bed, smart TV, closet, built-in wardrobe, extra pillows & blankets, room darkening curtains, and an ensuite bathroom. KITCHEN AMENITIES: The brand-new, modern, fully stocked kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, induction stove, dishwasher, oven, toaster, crock pot and blender, traditional coffee maker, Keurig, coffee bean grinder and tea kettle. Also available are induction pots and pans, kitchen towels, hot pads, baking pans, baking sheets, and BBQ utensils. Dishes, utensils, children’s dishes, glassware, wine glasses, and additional barware are also on site. BATHROOMS: Both of our King bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom with walk-in showers, double vanities, and hair dryers. The showers are brand new, tiled, and include a classic, handheld, and rain showerheads. The second floor Queen bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower combination with tile surround, single vanity, and hair dryer. LIKE MANY LOCATIONS IN OUR NARROW PENINSULA, VEHICLE NOISE WILL BE HEARD WHEN OUTDOORS. We supply paper products including two rolls of paper towels for the kitchen and six rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. We also supply hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent and garbage bags. We supply one small, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per ensuite bathroom. We recommend that you bring shower essentials for stays longer than two nights. Iron & Ironing BoardPack n Play (2 fitted sheets available), classic highchair, and booster highchair.*Due to health and safety guidelines all pantry items must be removed between guests. Please bring cooking essentials you might need such as cooking oil/spray, aluminum foil, baggies, salt, pepper and other spices, sugar, etc. Due to Wisconsin health and safety regulations, we do not supply these items.
