Just down the road the quaint down town of West Jefferson offering antique shopping, restaurants, wineries, breweries and unique shops. Comfort at its best. Has everything you need!This cozy cabin has a warm comfortable vibe with contemporary furnishings and decor. No bear here! You will not want for a thing, as we work hard to make sure you have everything you could possibly need. Enjoy luxurious linens and beds you will sink in to at the end of your day. Be treated to special little touches like locally made goats milk soap, farm fresh eggs, locally grown flowers, bottle of wine or local cheeses.The front porch is truly the best room in the house where you can see sunrises to one side and sunsets on the other, with views of the ancient New River just below. It's a 5 minute walk to some of the best fishing, tubing and kayaking in NC. Close by is charming West Jefferson with shopping and plenty of restaurants. The cabin is very accessible in the winter, as you are not far off main roads and it sits at just 2,600 ft. elevation. In under an hour, reach numerous state parks with miles of hiking trails, the Blue Ridge Trail, the Appalachian Trail, mountain biking, and lots of other outdoor activities. Explore nearby Virginia, since you are close to the wild horses of Grayson Highlands State Park, the Virginia Creeper Trail and the quaint town of Damascus.Explore some of our culinary gems such as the River House Inn and local farm raised food available at the weekly farmer's market. Ashe Country is home to the East Coast's largest Christmas tree farms as well as local U-Pick apple and pumpkin farms.
