Sleeps 8 Enjoy an up North vacation at Eagle Bay Cottage offering 2 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms positioned on the Bayou of Big Star Lake. This home is situated on 10 acres of wilderness offering plenty of outdoor space for you to explore and enjoy and seclusion from the hustle and bustle. When here, you can sit back and relax whiling taking in views of the wildlife that take sanctuary in the waters and vegetation of the bayou. It's a favorite place for Bald Eagles when attempting to catch their dinner and a variety of other water fowl nest and spend their time in the waters. While the water frontage isn't suitable for swimming it offers scenes of nature at it's best. The Bayou does offer direct access to the Lake along with a dock(dock will be installed in June 2024) for anchoring your boat or launching other water craft such as kayaks and canoes. Eagle Bay Cottage sleeps 8 guests and offers a main level bedroom with a king size bed and private main bathroom. The second bedroom is located in the finished, walk out lower level and offers another king size bed. Additional sleeping accommodations include a full size sleeper sofa in the living area of the lower level, full size futon located in the sunroom on the main level, a porta-crib for the little ones, and two inflatable Aerobeds. There is a second full bathroom located on the main level and a third on the lower level. Other in home comforts include Wi-Fi, a Smart TV for streaming, Central Air Conditioning, Gas Fireplace, Washer and Dryer, and Dishwasher. The open floor concept between the fully equipped kitchen and living room offers ample space to gather and socialize with family and friends and large wall to wall windows overlooking the bayou and lake. The interior views of the water don't stop there. Pass away the time in the spacious, brightly lit sunroom while taking in views of nature from the wall to wall windows or head down to the fully finished lower level where the living area and large bedroom, again, offer views of the water. When the outdoors is calling, pass away the time on the upper level deck offering great views of the bayou and lake. For a peaceful spot, take in the views of the lake from the sitting area on the cement patio located outside of the lower level walkout. Other outdoor comforts include an outdoor dining set on the deck, charcoal grill, fire pit w/wood provided, two kayaks with life jackets and paddles, and a dock for your boat(dock will be installed in June 2024). There is also a small tent available to you if the kids want to try a night of sleeping underneath the stars. Eagle Bay is located approximately 15 miles from Baldwin and 25 minutes from Ludington. Mr. Bib's convenient store is located just 5 minutes away where you'll find basic essentials, can enjoy a fresh ice cream cone and a small menu of food items including their homemade pizza. The public boat launch and various access points to Pere Marquette River are also just a short drive away.
