Chena Hot Springs Off Grid Cabin Welcome to Serendipity Cabin! This is the ideal location to utilize while venturing out to explore the beautiful Chena River/Hot Springs area. Located one mile from Chena Hot Springs, six miles to Angel Rocks, multiple hiking trails & minutes away from the river. You are invited to come unwind, off grid, disconnected from the digital barrage of everyday modern life and experience all the comforts, amenities and privacy your cabin stay provides you. *No cleaning/Extra fees*The cabin is 100% off grid & is powered via solar, wind, generator & battery bank. The generator is also provided during the winter to plug vehicles directly into when needed. There is NO cell service, TV or internet. This cabin is a cozy 448 sq ft with a main living area, kitchen & two bedrooms. The cabin is heated by an oil drip stove. It sleeps a total of six people with one queen bed, a full size futon couch and a set of twin bunk beds. It features a covered deck with seating area, table & charcoal grill. Charcoal, lighter fluid & all grilling accessories are provided. Enjoy relaxing around the fire pit and patio; fire wood, s'mores box & roasting sticks are provided. We provide an Inreach satellite device for emergency services or to contact us, the Hot Springs facility does have wifi available for a small fee. There is a 100 gallon water tank connected to a grey water system for washing dishes, s'more covered faces etc. Drinking water is from the local Fox Spring. The fridge/stove/oven are propane operated. The outhouse is a short distance from the cabin. Equipped with a small propane heater, you will be hard pressed to find a cleaner, more spacious outhouse in Alaska! KitchenSave money & time by grabbing some groceries on your way out of town and cook up some of your favorite meals in the fully equipped kitchen. You will find an assortment of pots, pans, serving ware, cutlery etc. Pantry items are fully stocked for your use, flour, sugar, spices, hot sauces, etc Basic condiments are in the fridge. There is no cleaning fee & we don't have a list of "chores" at check out however we do ask that you wash & dry all dishes that are used. The sink water is room temp but a large tea kettle is provided to heat wash water. The Coffee/Tea/Cocktail Bar What’s not to love about coffee in the morning, a cup of tea in the afternoon & your favorite cocktail in the evening....or in whatever order you see fit! You can enjoy all three options at the adorable BYOB (bring your own booze) bar. The French press coffee/tea bar features North Pole AK coffee, ground & whole bean. There is a selection of boxed teas, loose leaf blends, hot cocoa & local Chaga. Complimentary half n half, powdered milk & DF creamer, sugar, mini marshmallows, cinnamon & local honey provided. The cocktail bar features glass wear~ margarita, martini, whiskey, wine, beer & shot glasses. A complete mixology set to create your cocktail of choice with an assortment of alaskan syrup(s), bitters & salts. Tonic, V8 & soda waters are stocked in the fridge. Bring your favorite Bloody Mary mix & enjoy some of the garnishes provided. Whatever your favorite libation choice, you are sure to find something to indulge in & enjoy while relaxing at the cabin!Living/Sitting areaThere is a full size futon couch, an oversized chair & breakfast bar with benches. Under the futon you will find an assortment of card & board games for all ages to enjoy, as well as a fold up table to provide more space while playing cards/games. Enjoy reading some Alaska history/stories from the small library for both adults & children. All rocks, fossils & bones have been collected by me & my family. We think that they are pretty rad & love being able to share them with you. 💜 We hope you enjoy viewing are collection of Alaskan artifacts as much as we do!BedroomsThere are two bedrooms in the cabin. The main bedroom features a Queen size bed, two luggage racks, a small shelve/hanging rod w/hangers, cube storage & a small sitting chair. There is a basket w/ towels on the shelf (the Hot Springs charges $5 per towel) please make sure you bring them back to the cabin.The bunk room is a small room with two twin beds. There is no food or drink allowed in this room, as this is where the water tank & electrical components to our off grid system are located.
