San Juans - Lummi Island Home for couples & group get-aways The perfect place for family and group get-togethers as well as a romantic couples retreat.This modern home invites you to relax and take in waterfront views of the shipping lanes, Orcas Island and the Straits of Georgia. The home is decorated with paintings and carvings by the owners and other islanders and captures the multifarious style of Lummi Island in the San Juan Island archipelago.The living room, kitchen and dining room are an open floor concept with large area rugs on hardwood floors creating an open and bright feel with focus on the view through the ocean-facing windows and glass sliders.The dining area seats 8 and the table expands to seat 12. All bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. The ground floor is home to the master en suite with king bed and the gallery room with a pair of twin beds. Upstairs there is one king bedroom and one queen bedroom as well as the 3 single beds found in the upstairs entertainment room.WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE - There is a ramp we install on the front entrance that allows wheel chairs on the ground floor. Either ground floor bedroom is suitable. The master bath has some special features. Please enquire.Outside the surrounding composite deck is faced with glass panels allowing enjoyment of the view and blocking cool ocean breezes. There are a variety of lounge chairs and tables. The yard is planted with luscious rhododendrons and other perennials. BEACH ACCESS: Across the front lawn, a stairway leads to a beach deck and the beach. 99% of the beach on Lummi Island is private and accessible only via a resident's access. During low tide one can easily walk the beach for a mile or more in a northerly direction.
