Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, the Baker Escape is the ideal location for a weekend adventure basecamp for family and pets. With three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, open kitchen & great room, this one level living home is both comfortable and cozy inside and out. The back deck is home to a hot tub, lounge furniture, gas fireplace and outdoor dining. Stay dry while unloading your gear on the oversized covered front entry and kick up your feet and watch a movie in the comfortable living room with Wi-Fi and a DVD player.Each of the three bedrooms have Queen size beds with cozy mattresses and duvet covers. The master suite has a full ensuite bathroom attached. The main bathroom shares a hallway with the other two bedrooms.The open design of the living space is an entertainer's dream. Enjoy cooking in the kitchen that is open to the dining area and living room with an audience. The large open kitchen has an electric range, dishwasher, stainless fridge and all the small appliances you would need to whip up a gourmet meal for friends and family. Wine and dine at the six-person dining table with your guests or sit at the counter on a bar stool and enjoy a drink. The living room has a smart TV with a Roku for streaming with ease.The enclosed back deck is a dream come true in the Pacific Northwest! This large deck boasts a hot tub for 6, propane BBQ grill, new Sunbrella outdoor couches & chairs, dining table & umbrella and a tabletop propane fireplace for warmth and ambiance on a cool summer evening.What we love about this home- One Level Living- Electric Vehicle Charger- Large outdoor entertaining area with patio seating, BBQ, Gas Fire Table and Hot Tub- Pet Friendly - Dogs only, maximum of 2.- Backup Generator for Power outagesThis home is pet friendly and welcomes dogs. We provide dog towels for wiping wet paws and dog treats!Never without power!The home is equipped with a whole house automatic generator to sustain power during power outages; however, the hot tub may not work during a power outage.NOTE: This home is in the mountains and near a ski area and it is subject to inclement weather including excessive snow, Ice, wind and rain. Due to the potential harsh weather, power outages and internet outages happen from time to time and are out of our control. We do not issue any refunds for loss of power or internet. Please prepare for all types of weather when visiting the mountains.Accessibility DisclosureThis home is marked as being handicap friendly, however it is not fully ADA compliant. The home offers one living has no stairs leading into or out of the property.Important Notes:Nature: This home is located in a rainforest near the base of a mountain. We have critters both large and small that we share the land with. From Ants to bats, mice and raccoons to Bears and Bobcats, we do everything possible to keep them outside. Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as it looks like a free meal for the wildlife.Technology:WiFI and Cellular Service: Due to the remote location, cable TV, cellular service, and high-speed internet are not available. The home has free WIFI and a smart TV for streaming your favorite subscription channels. There's also cell phone service near Mt Baker ski area. Wi-Fi is DSL and ranges between 4-9 mbps depending on the time of day and how many people are online. **Internet service in the Mt. Baker area experiences intermittent outages and these circumstances are beyond our control. Our area is limited to one service provider and we appreciate your understanding with the following policy: We are unable to offer a refund for accommodations based on WIFI outages, speed or disruptions.Weather: The mountains provide us with so much to offer, but predictable weather is not one of them. Please be prepared for all types of severe weather from excess heat in the summer to heavy rains in the Spring & Fall and Snow and Ice in the winter. It is highly recommended that you bring a 4-wheel or All wheel drive vehicle in the winter. Due to the potential harsh weather, power outages and internet outages happen from time to time and are out of our control. We do not issue any refunds for loss of power or internet. Please prepare for all types of weather when visiting the mountains.Groceries: Large grocery runs should be done in Bellingham (about 45 min away). There are a handful of small mom and pop grocery stops along Mt Baker Highway and we are happy to make recommendations. Restaurants are extremely limited and are not always open during the slower seasons.
