We have fabulous sunsets, dark night skies, wonderful hiking and biking at Itasca State Park, biking on the Heartland Trail which is just a mile away and of course eating at our local restaurants and shopping our fabulous downtown shops. If you are a golfer make a tee time at Headwaters Country Club which is less than a mile away. Bring your tennis rackets as the courts are brand new as of last summer. Pickle ball courts are at Heartland Park only 2 miles away. Take a break and experience the loons calling over the lake at night and the crisp morning air. Our two kayaks are free for you to use and come with life vests.As in the past there will be thorough cleaning between guests. The rooms will be detail cleaned to be sure they are safe for your arrival. If you value your privacy and don't want to be surrounded by other vacation cabins, WildWood is the place for you! We have only the suite to rent so there are no other cabins or vacationers to spoil your get away time. There's so much to do in Northern MN ; hiking in the woods, spending time away together, watching the sunsets, star gazing in the dark, dark skies of the North woods, kayaking, biking, swimming, etc. Make your reservations for the 2024 season now so you are not disappointed that the week or weekend is taken. Book your stay early. This is a 2 room luxury suite on FishHook lake just outside of Park Rapids. (site of the Governor's Fishing Opener of 2013) There is a two night minimum stay for April, ,May and June . A three night minimum for July and August and then back to a two night minimum in September and until closing in late October.Our property has over 2 acres of towering pines and birch trees located right on FishHook Lake. This is the Northwoods experience at it's best and only 2 miles from the town of Park Rapids! The Eagles' Nest suite is on the second story of a private, carriage style garage. This suite was the premiere suite of our former WildWood Lodge B&B and won a decorating award from 'Better Homes & Gardens'. The suite features a king-size bed, double Jacuzzi tub/shower and warm terry robes. In the morning make your coffee and breakfast in the kitchenette and enjoy it at the breakfast bar or on the outdoor deck while watching for the first eagle soaring above. Whether you come to just relax , do some sightseeing or you want to golf at the Headwaters Country Club ( 1/2 mile away), bike the Heartland Trail ( 1 mile away), visit Itasca State Park (22 miles away) , swim, kayak (two are available for guests at no charge), watch for the eagles and listen to the loons ....peace and solitude abound. Guests are welcome to sit by the lake in comfortable adirondack chairs, enjoy the lake up close and personal on the chairs and bench right on the dock, or relax in the hammock overlooking the lake. Business travelers are welcome to enjoy the peace and quiet after a hard day's work. Our suite is priced at $200-250 per night during the summer months plus MN sales tax. We are fully licensed by the State of Minnesota as a vacation rental.This is a NON-SMOKING suite and no pets or children are allowed. Any use of illegal or recreational drugs is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. The Eagles' Nest is a place to totally discover the peace and quiet of lake living. The luxury suite has a separate room with a kitchenette that includes a refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, sink, dishes, toaster, pans and utensils.
