Welcome to “Lakeside Solitude,” your private sanctuary where tranquility meets adventure. Fish off the dock, take a float in the 2 kayaks, or relax in the cozy cabin and enjoy the view of the lake from the floor to ceiling windows. INTERIORStep inside our cabin and you will immediately feel at home and notice the panoramic view of the lake from the large front windows. The cabin is a two bedroom, 1.25 bath. There are two living areas: The front living room looks over the lake through floor to ceiling Marvin windows. The sunroom is surrounded by windows and looks out over the lake and private yard. Take advantage of all the windows the cabin has to offer. We invite you to open up the windows, enjoy the sounds of nature and let the cool breeze in. Wake up in the cool mornings to a view of the sunrise over the tranquil lake from your queen bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed. The master bath has a new tiled shower and a bathtub. In addition, there is an additional quarter bath. There is an additional sink located outside the bathroom. Once you are done with your activities for the day, enjoy cooking a homemade meal in the fully equipped kitchen before enjoying an evening fire or a kayak ride. Or stay inside for game night with board games that are located in the entry table. You may also wish to watch a movie by logging into your favorite streaming app from the Roku TVs or by watching the complimentary Youtube TV with over 70 channels.EXTERIOROut back on the patio you can cook up dinner on the gas grill while you enjoy drinks and appetizers at the table with umbrella or the picnic table. A dock extends out into the lake. Guests may also launch the kayaks from the shore. If you get your feet sandy from launching the kayaks, there is a foot wash conveniently located on the back of the house. NOTE: There is a pontoon boat parked at the dock. Although guests cannot rent the pontoon, they are welcome to use it as a sitting area or for fishing.NEARBY ATTRACTIONSOur cabin is ideally situated on 4.5 acres of property with 400 feet of shoreline on a private lake, surrounded by trees. The property is located 14 minutes from the town of Park Rapids. You will enjoy the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience.Explore charming downtown Park Rapids with clothing stores, candy shops, a brewery and restaurants. Grocery stores are also located in the town. If you need something quick, you may drive down the county road to the Emmaville store within 4 minutes. On rainy days, catch a movie at the classic Park Rapids Theater. Satisfy your adventure by renting a 4 wheel utility vehicle and ride the trails in Paul Bunyan Forest, or drive thirty minutes to Itasca State Park where you can step across the Mississippi River and enjoy a hike. You may also bring your bikes and drive to the paved Heartland Trail for a bike ride. Golfing options are nearby too - both mini and nine/eighteen hole.FISHING:The lake is private and therefore there is no boat access but we encourage you to bring your own boat and head to the many nearby public lakes for fishing/boating. The property has a circular driveway for easy parking/exit and also has a trailer parking pad to unhook the boat. If you have a fishing kayak, bring it with - this would be a perfect lake for you to fish.We look forward to hosting you in our cabin!IMPORTANT NOTESThere is a two car garage located on the back of the property used for owner storage. The garage is not accessible for guests.To help ensure safety of our guests and the property, there are three exterior cameras on the property. There is not audio. There are no cameras that see into the house.NO SMOKING OR VAPING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE HOUSENO PETS of any kind are permitted inside or outside the home. However, guests may see wildlife while on the property. NO PARTIES OR EVENTSNO FIREWORKSNO OVERNIGHT GUESTS BEYOND THOSE LISTED ON THE RENTAL AGREEMENT. Maximum stay is 29 days.Quiet hours from 10PM to 7 AMRENTAL AGREEMENT MUST BE SIGNED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF BOOKINGThere are three steps down from the driveway on to the walkway to the house. There is also one step without a rail into the house. The driveway is sloped but is easily manageable with a car or truck during non - winter months.
