While you are truly in the middle of the Maine forest, you will enjoy all modern amenities. The rustic “Grand Old Lady” charm has been maintained while the kitchen and baths were completely renovated and modernized in the fall of 2010. Sitting on 2 and ½ acres of land with 450 feet of private lake frontage on Shagg Pond and surrounded by forests and mountains, one can find at Camp Mollocket unparalleled peace and rest. Camp Mollocket has two private docks and a small private beach or shallow wading area, depending on how high the water in the pond is! Shagg Pond provides excellent opportunities for water activities including swimming, boating and outstanding fishing. Relax on the wraparound screened porch, cuddle up in front of the massive stone fireplace, or walk out the back door for some of the finest hiking and walking trails in Maine – there is something for everyone. Camp Mollocket is large enough for a family reunion, or cozy enough for a romantic getaway. Camp Mollocket, set in the midst of the Maine forests on a beautiful mountain lake is truly a place to get away from it all. Here you can relax amidst the beauty of the Western Maine Mountains. This is a place where no one will bother you, and you can truly forget about the issues and challenges of our urbanized world. Solitude and peace are the watchword for this location. Enjoy the available canoe, sail boat and paddle boat.Camp Mollocket is still very accessible. It is only a 3 hour drive from the Boston area. Because it is off the normal summer vacation routes, detailed driving instructions will be needed to find the camp. These, of course, will be provided when you reserve your vacation time. Camp Mollocket is a large Maine lodge, but your stay at this Grand Old Lady can be tailored to meet your needs, from a getaway for two to a relatively large family reunion.Despite the wonderful solitude you will experience at Camp Mollocket, you will still be within a reasonable driving distance of many attractions from golf to sight-seeing to antiquing to hiking and more.
