The home offers a cozy cabin experience nestled on beautiful Lake Burton in Northeast Georgia, the cabin is 15 minutes away from downtown Clayton. 25 minutes from Helen. The cabin has one living/dining room area and two bathrooms with a shower and toilet. We offer limited amounts of shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and hand wash. Our swim dock and boathouse are the perfect combination for optimal lake enjoyment. From here, you can easily enjoy a game or watch TV while enjoying the view of the lake. The top of the boathouse offers a prep area, grill, and dining area for enjoying a wonderful evening sunset meal. PETS are NOT allowed at all inside or outside. See our pet policy. There are two marinas on the lake that rent boats and there is a boat ramp within 1/4 of the house. We have found that the cabin can very comfortably accommodate a party of 10 for the ultimate experience in relaxation and escape from the daily grind. There are lovely and quaint local restaurants and shops in downtown Clayton and a major chain grocery . There are a few wineries and award winning farm-to-table restaurants all within about a 15 minute drive. Rabun county is the farm-to-table capital of north Georgia! Hiking, kayaking, fishing, tubing and exploring are all within minutes. The Tiger Drive In is only a 15 minute drive away. Rental rates are as posted on VRBO. There are discounts for extended stays. During summer months we require a week long rental with check in/checkout on Sundays. Special rates and check ins apply to major holidays as well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Minimum nights stays varies based on the season from 2 nights too 7 nights. with a Sunday check in/check out date in the summer ( see calendar for available dates.) Special holidays like Memorial Day (4 night minimum with a Thursday check in and Monday Check out.), Fourth of July ( Weekly rental ONLY). Labor Day ( 4 night minimum with a Thursday check in and Monday Check out.) Rates vary during holidays and special events. There are discounts for weekly and monthly rentals. There are also discounts for repeat renters. (Please let me know if you have rented here before.)Please be aware that during the WINTER MONTHS the lake level varies. Usually November through March. If you are concerned about the lake level during these months, please ask. Lake Burton “Winter Rule Curve” annual drawdown schedule: November 1, 2022 - Lake starts down gradually from Normal (1865.0 elevation)January 16, 2023 - Lake is 13’ feet down (1852.0 elevation)January 26, 2023 - Lake starts up from (1852.0 elevation)March 1, 2023 - Lake is within 5’ feet of Normal pool (1860.0 elevation)May 1, 2023 - Lake is back to Normal summer pool (1865.0 elevation)
