It’s a great fishing lake (bass, walleye, pike) with minimal traffic. A large portion of the lake is owned by a college, so 1/3 of the shore line is untouched. If you want to venture out, take a short 30 min. drive to amazing Mackinaw.If you like fine dining, Douglas Lake Bar is the restaurant for you, but make reservations as they are always booked.
