Damariscotta lakefront house - relax & enjoy Maine's coast Whether you are inside or outside you can relax with with the calming view of the lake. Sit by the lake and read a book, try to catch a fish from our dock, or explore the lake on the kayaks and stop by Spectacle Island and try the rope swing. Hungry? Cook a burger on the new grill and enjoy the amazing view or try one of the great restaurants 5 minutes away in downtown Damariscotta. Want to explore further? Take a day trip to the Pemaquid Lighthouse or Pemaquid beach and enjoy a lobster at Shaw's in New Harbor with an evening cruise on the Hardy Boat. Lots of exploring of the coast of Maine in Damariscotta and Pemaquid area possible and a little further in Rockland, Camden and Boothbay too. While there is no better place to be in the summer, fall is wonderful too. Lots of festivals in the summer and the famous Damariscotta pumpkin fest is in October.
