Located at the top of a small hill, Pond Cottage (the Chelsea Hotel #2) is nestled in the middle of nature. you might be visited by creatures with 2,4,6, or 8 legs. Fire pit. 7 acre Lake Gratitude is a short walk. Perfect solitude within a 2000 acre conservation easement. NO PETS. NO use of indoor fireplace. Base price is for two guests. Additional $40/night fee for more than two guests.The Space:Pond house features two bedrooms and a loft that all share a full bathroom making this space is perfect for small families or besties. The kitchen holds a small dining area and overlooks the living room for added comfort and closeness. Charming in its rustic character, Pond House will help you remember the simple things in life. Outside Hot tub available ($50 setup fee required). The Chelsea Hotels cabin has two bedrooms: #411 (the Janis Joplin Room) and #424 (the Leonard Cohen Room) .who had an infamous rendezvous at the Bohemian Chelsea Hotel in New York City in the Spring of 1968. After her death at 27 in 1970, Cohen who stayed on this property, was inspired by Big East Fork Creek to write an elegy to Joplin.You can read about it in a Rolling Stones article.Guest Access:You will receive the door punch code before you arrive onsite. The Fork Inn offices are located at 5528 Big East Fork Rd. Registered guests of the Fork Inn may park at the Lake Gratitude Natural Area parking lot. Car passes must be visible on windshield.The Neighborhood:Pond Cottage has no close neighbors. It’s a rural paradise that's just a short walk from 6-acre lake Gratitude.Getting Around:Uber operates here, but a personal or rental vehicle is recommended.Other Things to Note:Please check in before dark as the Pond House can be difficult to find at night. As soon as you go into the driveway, make a right and go up the hill. The Pond House is to the right. The price quoted is for Lodging only. If you are having an EVENT you must send a message to receive details and pricing. The internet is via cellular wi-fi hotspot. Although it is unlimited, it is not fast. The more folks on the system, the slower it works.Interaction with Guests:At Pond House, you will have solitude amidst abundant nature, but should you wish to meet new friends, Big East Fork Retreat is close by and always looking for new friends! We generally leave our guests alone, but may visit at an appropriate time to say hello.
