Cozy 2 Bedroom Cabin w/Amazing Views + Outdoor Fire Pit **4WD/AWD Vehicle Recommended**Get away from it all at the Easy Plateau - A Cozy Cabin to Rest your Head. The cabin feels secluded yet is conveniently located just 5 miles/approx 15 minutes off Highway I-77. Many visit the area to explore the New River Trail at Foster Falls which is about 8 miles away or simply stay in to disconnect and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.This is a great spot for weekend getaway or a weeklong retreat from everyday life.Furry friend? No problem! Our cabin is dog-friendly, and your furry companion will love roaming around the property (not fenced in). Please note that there is a pet fee to cover additional cleaning and wear and tear.The cabin offers WiFi and 2 smart TVs with Roku streaming access. We recently added Starlink internet which has been great for streaming on multiple devices. You can also bring your own movies to play on the DVD player (yes, they do still exist!).The cabin features two bedrooms w/ clean and comfy linens - Bedroom One: 1 king-sized bed on the main levelBedroom Two: 1 queen-sized bed upstairsOne of our guests' favorite spots is the covered deck, where you can enjoy your favorite beverage while admiring the valley below. You can watch the sunrise from the rocking chairs out front or relax in the seating area on the side deck as the sun sets.In the backyard, you'll find Adirondack chairs arranged around a fire pit. Bring along a bundle of firewood (not included) and relax around the campfire. There is also a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) and picnic table. Our cabin offers a full kitchen with all the essentials, including an electric range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and utensils. We also provide basic seasonings, cooking oil, enough coffee for your first few pots, coffee creamer, sugar, and sweetener.The cabin is supplied with well water, which has a different mineral content compared to city water that many guests may be accustomed to. We understand preferences may vary so if you prefer an alternative to well water, we recommend bringing bottled water. There is a water filtering system for the cabin that removes some mineral content and a reverse osmosis filtered water faucet at the kitchen sink.You can enjoy year-round comfort with central heat and air conditioning, and during cooler months, you can add some ambiance and warmth with the fireplace (electric). We provide basic cleaning supplies and dish soap, as well as a starter kit of paper towels and toilet paper. Bed linens and towels are also provided, along with basic amenities such as hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. For longer stays, you may want to bring a few extra towels and toiletries.4WD/AWD: Please note that the driveway to the cabin is gravel and at an incline, and 4WD/AWD is highly recommended. Please reference reviews from past guests. Two-wheel-drive vehicles and SUVs may not be able to ascend the driveway due to the grade. We recommend arriving before sunset, not only to witness the stunning sunset but also because the road to the cabin is winding and not lit by streetlights.When you stay at our cabin, you can disconnect and enjoy a private getaway. If you want to explore more of Virginia's Blue Ridge, there's plenty to see! You can visit the New River State Park - Foster Falls (15-20 min) for hiking, biking or walking along the river, rent bikes and canoes, go river tubing, fishing or arrange a guided horseback trip. You can also explore nearby towns like a local, shop at unique antique stores, visit wineries and breweries, and find some great dining spots. Most activities and towns are a 30+ minute drive from the cabin but there are some great spots (Iron Heart Winery is a favorite) within about a 15 minute drive.Exterior Camera: There is one exterior camera monitoring the staircase leading up to the front porch that can record audio and video 24/7.
