GREAT Location. Secluded Private Cottage Blowing Rock Late Fall and Winter months we highly recommend 4 wheel drive. The weather can change quickly in the High Country. “Rocky Meadows" is our home my husband and I now use for short term vacation rental. "Rocky Meadows" is close to 221 but has a feeling of seclusion. Sits on 3 acres, no other houses visible. There are two bedrooms, a queen-size bed in one and a bunk that has a full-size bottom bed with a twin in the upper. The great room was designed with family time in mind. The covered back deck has a patio table chairs and gas grill for outdoor entertaining. We have a full basement that is pretty much empty except for the washer and dryer. Designed and built by the owners this simple cabin utilizes many re-purposed materials. The floors are oak drawer fronts that were free and obtained from a cabinet shop that closed. The walls and ceilings are finished yellow pine, the window and door casings have Sweet Gum boards. All of these boards were cut off the property then dried and milled.
