Peace Garden Casita With Stunning Panoramic Views Escape the world and stay at this bright and sunny desert retreat nestled on a bluff overlooking the Verde River and hundreds of acres of national parklands. Enjoy star-studded nights by the fire pit and then go to sleep listening to the river rushing below. Wake up to the desert sun rising over ancient Indian ruins in the distance and take a walk down to the river on our rustic trail to see nesting eagles and playful river otters.This modern studio casita features a full kitchen, a private bathroom, polished concrete floors, large windows with expansive views, a California King bed with natural-fiber linens and a leather sofa — perfect for curling up with a book or watching a movie on the 55 inch 4K Roku TV. The casita has access to a rustic trail to the river below.The casita is freestanding, with its own entrance and parking.The casita is a short two-minute drive to the charming boutiques and restaurants of Old Town Cottonwood. The popular historic mining town of Jerome is seven miles up the mountain, while the spectacular red rocks of Sedona are less than thirty minutes away. Many guests book the casita as a home base to explore the local award-winning wineries and wine tasting rooms that are part of the Verde Valley Wine Trail.Some important things of note: The fireplace is non-functional and decorative only.No smoking or vaping is allowed anywhere inside the casita or on the property. It is not a walkable community, you will need a car to visit local attractions and restaurants. There is direct access to the river from the casita on a rustic trail.The casita is not safe or suitable for children under 12 as there is a steep, rocky drop off in the guest courtyard. The casita is located within the same walled enclosure as the main house which is occupied full-time by the owner and two dogs. We also have a neighbor on the other side of the casita. We are very respectful of the privacy of our guests. The casita has two sets of shades, blackout as well as semi-transparent, on each window. The guest area of the courtyard has been landscaped with plants and bamboo fencing to give a sense of privacy and views of the surrounding land are unimpeded by buildings. As the guest house shares a courtyard with the main house the two resident dogs (Arya, the German Shepherd, and Otis, the Toy Fox Terrier) may hang out with you if you are outside. They are very friendly and love people!No drugs, weapons, fighting, parties, vaping, smoking (including cannabis), burning incense or use of essential oils, open flames, loud noises, illegal activities, or disruptive actions are allowed anywhere on the property. Any deliberate disruption, illegal activity, abusive behavior or tampering with provided services, spaces, property or items on the property can be cause for cancellation of your reservation with no refund and/or fees to be assessed. If we receive a complaint regarding a violation of any of these rules from a neighbor or from anyone else, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation immediately without refund. If you have a complaint about any aspect of the amenities, cleanliness, or overall condition, please reach out to us within the first 2 hours of check-in. Upon notifying us of your complaint, you authorize us to enter the property and remedy the problem to the standards you require or we may cancel your reservation. No refunds will be given for unreported issues.If staying with a service animal we require the following:1. Owners must keep all dogs on leash at all times when outside the suite.2. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds.3. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the suite at any time.4. Owners must clean up after their dogs.
