The condo sits on the second floor of Waterfront Condos on the street side. Stay in the heart of downtown Manteo w/ easy access to the shops and waterfront. Our heart is in this 900 square foot condo, but its more so in the town of Manteo. The condo sits on the second floor of Waterfront Condos on the street side. You will see that Mom and a few friends have decorated this place to the nines and you will find most everything in the kitchen and bathroom ( hair dryer ladies). Nice washer and dryer in the condo for your use. The kitchen is very comfortable to cook in especially for its size. The porch is great for enjoying coffee, lunch, cocktails or my favorite people watching. The beds are of the up most quality and we are sure you will sleep great after a fun day at the beach, a trip down to a lighthouse or simple walking the board walk in Historic Downtown Manteo.Manteo is home to several restaurants, the Avenue, Ortega's, Hungry Pelican, Olives, Poor Richards, and Full Moon and Lost Colony Brewery. The oldest family owned movie theater has one showing nightly at 8 pm. Be sure to tell the tall burly man at the door Buddy Creef hello. Its $7 a person and $2 for drinks and popcorn. Makes it fun to grab a great dinner and see a show and not spend an arm and leg. Reynolds Barber Shop is around the corner if you need a trim for a family photo at the beach. If nothing else stop in to say hi to Ben and get some popcorn after 2 or so. You can hear some great stories anytime your waiting. There is a model light house in the south corner of the docks, Roanoke Island Light House, which sat off the south side of the fishing village of Wanchese. My Grandfather was stationed on it while he is the Coast Guard as a young man. There is a children's play ground with swings, slides, tables and chairs. The park is named after my grandfather for his 16 years of service as a Manteo Commissioner. As your seeing there is a bunch to do in Manteo and on the Outer Banks. It would be my pleasure to have you enjoy this property in Down Town Manteo. Manteo is located just 10 min from the beach of Nags Head and home a 1000 foot pier, Jennette's, owned and operated by the North Carolina Aquarium system. The pier is a good place to park for the day with bathrooms, showers, and a great family owned beach shop and grocery right next to the parking lot, Cahoon's Grocery. They also have another Aquarium located at the north end of Manteo. There are putt putt, go go carts, jet skis, paddle board rentals, a large mall, the Nags Head Golf Links, and 10 restaurants within 2 miles of the pier. A quick note about this property. We have a duplex Dad s Pad ,# 1067106 and the other side Mom s home away from home, # 907506 is also in the Vrbo program along with another property two lots away # 1149486. All three of these are located in Nags Head.We have had more fun checking guests in personally and telling them about our Outer Banks than you know and can't wait for future guests to come enjoy any one of our places. Mom made them super cute and beach themed. If you wanted to go on vacation with some other families but like your space also, we have the spot for you and our family restaurant , for the Nags Head properties the Dunes is right behind you for breakfast, dinner, carry out and a full bar with no driving required. Our places are safe and secure with storage for beach gear. We are looking to add some bikes and kayaks for 2018 and looking to continue to improve our listing quality for our future guest from all over the world with what to to do on the Outer Banks. In the event of a hurricane or threat of one and you need to cancel. Not a problem! We give a full refund. We do not wish to profit from a storm and we will hope you can rebook at a future date and pick us and Nags Head year after year.
