This spectacular all Cedar Home is located on beautiful Smith Mountain Lake and is one of eleven homes nestled in a secluded no wake cove. We sit above the others cabins offering a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. Our entire property has been professionally landscaped and is just stunning. We have crepe myrtles which line the road and the entrance to the lower lever. Please review the plate under the map page on this site. Our renovated gorgeous home hums with relaxed energy which you will feel the moment you enter. Features a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and Tuscany styled charming maple cabinets, a large great room with cathedral ceilings and an incredibly beautiful floor to ceiling stone fireplace. There is also a electric fireplace in the Sunroom. Our one level home’s main living area is totally open so if you are in the kitchen, you are not isolated from the other guests. Cedar beams throughout the house adds a unique charm to this beautifully decorated and inviting home. All the furniture is extremely comfortable and cozy. We added an additional sun room featuring a panoramic wall of glass sun room provides breathtaking views of the lake and mountains from anywhere in the living area. We have two flexsteel all leather sofas and electric recliner in this room where there is a 45" T.VWe offer four bedrooms and three full baths. The master bath has an oversized custom tiled shower with three shower heads. The bathroom off the family room offers offers a Jacuzzi tub and shower. The lower level queen bedroom has its own private entrance with full bath, not tub. It can not be accessed from the interior of the house, offering complete privacy. The cabinets are rich maple with granite counter tops. The upper level bedroom has a sliding glass door to the deck, which offers a fantastic view of the lake and Smith Mountain… what a way to wake up each morning. The lower level sling door opens to a stone patio. We have one of the easiest access to the lake for those who have walking issues as you can drive directly to the waterfront, just a 30 second drive. Also you can walk the road or take the 100 steps down to the waterfront. The walk down the steps to the waterfront is surrounded by beautiful gardens on both sides, please see the pictures. Amenities include a 45 inch HD Sony TV, surround sound speakers and outdoor speakers, great for entertainment on our oversized trek decks. We live in the house for several months of the year so the house is appointed with every pot and pan, dish and glassware imaginable. Many of our guests has told us it is far better equipped than their own homes. We also provide an array of spices. Our two tier Trek decks offers 1000 ft of outdoor living space. The top deck has a 6 person dining table, smaller tables and lot of lounge chairs. The lower deck has a 8 person pagoda, surrounded by flower pots and woods. It sits behind the hot tub, great for entertaining. Several people have commented that we have the most beautiful decks on the lake. There is a mature oak tree next to the deck and it’s gracefully limbs provides wonderful shade from early spring thru the fall. The deck’s view of the lake and the mountains is simply breathtaking. There is a lower level 500 square foot patio as well that has another table and chairs for four and a charcoal barbecue. We have a boat slip with a private dock, and a floating deck boat, perfect for lots of fun water entertainment. It is 20 ' deep off our dock. Top of the line 6 person hot tub on lower deck with pergola. It offers Bluetooth built in music, full body lounger, foot jets, waterfalls and range of colored lighting for your selection. The view from the hot tub offers a full view of Smith Mountain with amazing sunsets and is in very private setting. We also planted lots of herbs on the deck for our clients use, a wonderful feature that all my clients have enjoyed. Everybody waters the plants on the deck, sorta of pass on the beauty for the next folks arrival. Our no wake 60 acres cove is famous for its abundance and variety of fish. It is where the strippers spawn every year and fisherman catch bass, muskies and cat fish right off our docks. You will see an exciting array of wildlife including eagles, owls, ospreys, hummingbirds, wild turkey and of course deer but we also have several albino deer which are spectacular to see if you are lucky. Because the cove is “no wake” you can swim, kayak, paddle board and canoe without being disturbed by jet skies and motor boats, a rarity on the lake. We are only a 500' to the entrance to the main channel so you have go far before you can produce a wake. The cove is surrounded by a 2000 acre wildlife mountainous nature preserve so your views are of deep woods, silhouetted by Smith Mountain and its surrounding mountains. Smith Mountain Lake has 22,000 acres of clean water and has 500 miles of shoreline. There is a mile long drive to reach our Lodge that is just magical. It is deeply wooded with an abundance of hardwoods on both sides, not a home in sight. Once you have made this turn on our lane, you will be delighted with the serine, natural beauty that surrounds our home. Ideally located in southwest Virginia's mountain foothills, our Lodge setting balances the beauties of landscape, mountains and lake with tranquility and recreational pursuits for a perfect vacation. Each season offers delights for the senses. Spring brings beautiful mountain laurels, azaleas, and dogwoods. Summers are lush with the aroma of heavy woods and an array of flower blossoms. Crape myrtles surround our property in late summer bursting our gardens with a variety of color. Autumn paints the landscape in burning brush strokes of red, gold, and orange. Each season is unique. No matter, you will find them all.The Mariners Landing golf course is just ten minutes away and in the same community as the Point Restaurant which is renown on the lake as one of the top lakefront restaurants. They also have lots of fun entertainment over the summer and fall months so make sure you look them up.Rent all types of boats at nearby marinas and enjoy parasailing, water skiing, sailing, water-skiing, jet skiing, and for those with a large crowd you will love the huge pontoon boats. We offer on site 4 kayaks, one two person canoe an, one three person kayak with the middle seat perfect for a dog or small child and two paddle boards. Our no-wake cove is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and swimming. No worries of being run over by the jet skis or speed boats. Our mile long drive into the property is perfect for long walks or biking. You will listen to only the sounds of nature as a beautiful hardwood forest hugs both sides of the road. Deer and turkey abound! Also if you like mountain biking, you are only a few minutes away. There are lots of funs restaurants close by and the state park is just ten minutes away. The park offers summer fun programs for children at their camp pavilion. They also have a mile long lakefront walking trail, a sandy beach, boat rentals, covered pavilions with charcoal barbecue grill and lots of nightlife entertainment. You can take a ride on the Virginia Dare to see the lake and enjoy dining for lunch or dinner. Next to the Virginia Dare is the Tiki Bar, a true fun spot for Jimmy Buffet fans. On the side of the lake (about twenty minutes away) there are lots of fun clothing shops, miniature golf, arcade, art shop, ice cream parlor, cinema and great restaurants.The area is rich in history; you will want to make sure you see the Booker T. Washington plantation, the D day Memorial in Bedford and take a tour of how the dam was constructed. And Roanoke is only 40 minutes away and has all kinds of fun nightlife at market square. It is considered one of the best towns in the state for Bluegrass music. A drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway is a must; the mountains are soft and lovely, and serenely beautiful.We know you will love our home and our charming resort community.
