Bucolic Vermont Dreamland & Homestead Wild Sugar Homestead was designed and built by nationally acclaimed contractor Ray Clark. 50 years later, it has a new life as a wedding venue & retreat space with a permaculture ethic. With breathtaking views of the White Mountains, direct access to Tucker Mountain Town Forest, two ponds, and onsite nordic ski trails, Wild Sugar brings family and friends together to enjoy this hidden gem of the Upper Valley. Plus, it's an easy drive to major slopes or a quick jaunt over to Lake Morey to experience the coolest 4.2 mile ice skating trail! Our area also happens to be one of the best places in Vermont to ride a gravel bike.*** All available weekends (friday-sunday) in September and October of 2024/2025 are reserved for wedding clients until otherwise noted. If you instant book us, we will have to ask you to cancel your reservation. Wild Sugar Homestead includes a 3,200 sqft main house, a party barn with attached milk house, and ~70 acres of land to explore. A 5 minute walk to the upper field reveals an epic view of the White Mountains from Mt. Washington to Mt. Moosilauke. The front yard includes an old variety apple orchard, plum orchard, and a pond. The field on the other side of the road has a hidden woodland pond brimming with life. There are tons of opportunities to see wildlife on the property, including moose, deer, bears, turkeys, and many other critters. The 12 acre wetland section of the property is a bird watcher's paradise! The house itself has character in every corner. The original owner, builder, and designer Ray Clark has an eye for detail and a penchant for building in the old style. The result is a house that looks and feels about 100 years older than it is. There is an undeniable charm to the hand hewn beams, carved floor boards, ornate brick work, and built in furnishings. We also welcome our guests to set up a garden tour at our personal homestead (the neighboring property) or a U-Pick flower session. Most folks even walk away with a plant or two! Most of all, what we hear from our clients and visitors is - "This place is MAGIC."For all wedding and event inquiries email erik at wildsugarhomestead dot com
