Cozy Mountain Cottage Near Asheville Favorite Features: - Private pond with beach area for swimming, fishing and relaxing (1/4 mile walk) - Hiking trail up mountain behind house - Front porch and small back deck with lawn and wooded views - Fireplace and firewood- Gated with code at night------------------Our cozy cottage is centrally located in Western North Carolina, 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and 25 minutes from the Asheville Airport. We are convenient to many attractions, including the Biltmore House, River Arts District, WNC Arboretum, French Broad River and Blue Ridge Parkway. But our mountain setting and private gated drive will help you feel away from it all. The Cottage Sleeps up to 5 people, depending on adult/child ratio. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed (new mattress) and opens into the living room with bamboo curtain divider. Bedroom 2 has a double bed (new mattress), and a pack-n-play crib in the closet. The living room has a full size couch that can be utilized as an extra sleep space, if needed (it is not a pull-out couch). The Cottage is fully furnished with linens, towels, toiletries, and kitchen supplies provided. Smart TV's with streaming services are in the living room and bedroom 2. A DVD player is also in the living room.Other amenities include: - automatic gated drive (closes at night only and opens with code provided)- two-car parking- dishwasher- fridge- microwave- washer/dryer with detergent- fireplace and firewood- ceiling fans - front porch and small back deck with views- private beach and pond with dock and diving board for swimming, fishing and relaxing (grill, picnic tables, lounge chairs, sand toys, paddle boards, noodles, PFDs all at pond location)- hiking trail up mountain behind house Utilities include: - oil heat- high-speed internet (10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload)- air conditioning window unit* Please note: Our family lives next door. We have two friendly indoor/outdoor dogs who mostly laze about, but do like to chase cars up and down the driveway. We also have four children (ages 10-15) who sometimes play on the large, shared driveway.
