The Lighthouse: Simple, Stylish Comfort in Central Carlsbad Charming 1 bedroom home sleeps up to 4 in a queen bed and full size futon. Brand new flooring throughout, cozy bedroom with queen bed, separate comfortable living room with futon sofa, dining room with seating for 4, and beautiful updated kitchen and bathrooms. Fully furnished with everything you need to enjoy your visit. Host is local and ready to help with planning your trip, questions or concerns. Note the yard is "rustic". I.e it is not (yet) improved- it is basically all dirt and unfenced with an old pad from a torn-down shed (sort of on our to-do list). The empty lot next door is owned by our neighbor and he uses it for parking. We allow 1-2 dogs but keep in mind there isn't fenced space for them to roam, so they will need to be supervised outside or inside with you. The neighborhood is what I would call average for Carlsbad. Its not a dangerous part of town but there are older homes in need of an update. (This is sort of how most of Carlsbad is- most of the town was built pre-1950 and the desert is hard on a home!). The location is convenient to get to anywhere in town or the Caverns.
