There are steps from the parking pad to access the house which may be difficult for anyone experiencing mobility challenges. Each season gives guests a unique experience.Summer (June-August): Summertime provides the complete lake experience with Lake Hiwassee at higher levels. With paddle boards, kayaks and water floats, guests can lounge on the dock and enjoy the lake to its fullest. Boat rental is available or bring your own boat/jet ski to enjoy the beautiful lake and mountains.Fall (September- November): Fall is a time to experience the cooler weather, fall foliage, and beautiful Mountains that surround Lake Hiwasse. During this time, you can expect the Lake water to be low with an extended walk to the dock. Fishing, kayaking and paddling boarding are popular outdoor activities.Winter (December-March): Winter with the colder weather provides guest time to wrap up in a warm blanket and enjoy the beautiful views from the cabin and porch. Often touched with a flurry of snow, the cabin's coziness gives guest a quiet getaway. The lake water level is at its' lowest and guests can expect a rocky lake shore to be seen. The dock is still accessible for those that want to fish or enjoy the brisk cold weather on the water.Spring (April-May): Spring is a time of renewal with the foliage coming alive with color. Lake levels begin rising and you can see the activity of the lake beginning to buzz. Enjoy the brisk water temperatures as you enjoy fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking.
