We are looking for a single family (or individual person) to rent it from March 2, 2025 until May 30, 2025. It has an open floor plan of kitchen-dining-living room. This house was built in 1994 but has old fashioned appeal. It was created as a summer home for a renowned Brown University professor and his family, who still own it. The house has 2 large upstairs bedrooms, 1 large first floor bedroom and a small first floor bedroom/office. The stone patio has a reservoir view. There is a large garden & lawns, surrounded by a meadow. Birdsong fills the air, deer visit frequently, and an eagle likes to perch on the roof. Sunshine fills every room, and the charm & custom details make it both cozy and elegant. Fully furnished including all kitchen utensils, blankets and pillows, but the winter tenant is asked to provide their own sheets and towels. The location is peaceful & quiet. Close to beaches, Little Compton village, nature walks, artisan stores, antiques, restaurants, galleries, historic buildings, working farms & farmers' markets, vineyards, local fresh seafood. New England is famous for lobsters, clams, clam cakes and chowder! Reservoir house is 30 minutes from Providence, the capital of Rhode Island, which is a beautiful cultural center with a thriving artist community, universities, museums and concert halls. Boston is a 60 minute drive, and it is close to the town of Newport, RI & New Bedford, MA. Children are welcome. Pets are welcome with an evaluation by the landlord, & with an additional $500 security deposit and $100 cleaning fee per animal.
