Hidden down a 3/4 mile private rustic drive and far from neighbors, The Lodge is the perfect secluded haven yet accessible to all the amazing attractions of this beautiful area.Temperatures are very cool at night and the daytime stays comfortable and 6-8 degrees cooler than the lower elevations of Asheville and Hendersonville. 15 miles or less to Biltmore house, Chimney Rock, Asheville, Lake Lure, and the Blue Ridge Parkway make it ideal for taking in the surrounding area and then sinking back into the quiet comfort and peace of this amazing Ranch.The Lodge is a vintage, great-timbered apple barn lovingly converted into a modern retreat that retains its mountain heritage and charm. Reclaimed wide plank flooring, historic brick, massive wooden beams reaching up to a 27 foot ceiling, and touches of days gone by offer the sense of gentler time. Yet along with the past, you will find that The Lodge's rustic elegance comes with all the modern conveniences.Every chef's desire is here in the 30 foot galley style kitchen. With 12 foot chef's counter - it makes cooking for a crowd a breeze and plenty of room for help in the kitchen. Move the kitchen outside to your 6 foot grill area.The timber frame interior with rough-sawn cedar walls, antique brick, and spacious living area provides for a large number of people but with multiple groupings of intimate seating. Italian leather furniture and sprawling custom seating appoint the living space with elegance and comfort.The eight bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished and decorated with your comfort in mind. Antique floors, warm woods, and giant -beamed ceilings offer character to each bedroom. Outdoor living is at its ultimate at The Lodge. With a 1,800 square foot main deck overlooking the meadows and mountains and total 2,800 square feet of decks on five levels, you will find your favorite spot to join the crowd or relax in quietude. Relax under the pergola, soak up the sun in the lounge chairs, or kick back under the covered seating enjoying the shade, or perhaps rain on the tin roof. The east deck offers a wonderful dining area for a scenic sunrise breakfast or supper under the stars with a 30 mile view. Fourteen feet up on the second floor, the "Sunset Deck" is the perfect place to tuck away alone with a book, nap, or enjoy the display of vibrant color as the night approaches.The Lodge is a place of charm, peace, and natural beauty. Its unique features and amenities will provide you with a vacation everyone will treasure for years to come.Note 1: We are ideally suited for events and often welcome them with prior approval. However, we require porta-potties to be rented and recommend event tenting to provide for rain.Note 2: Our seclusion creates an obundance of wildlife experiences. Black Bears, Deer, Wild Turkey, Two Golden Eagles, Foxes, Coyote's, Bobcats etc... wander through the property at will. Due to this, please understand that we do not allow pets.
