Only one mile from US 31, 9 miles to Arcadia Bluffs and Arcadia Dunes, 10 miles to Lake Michigan, 11 miles to Crystal Mountain. Maximum 8 ppl for the Lodge and 2 for the Cottage. This is our 40 acre homestead that we have been living on for nearly four decades.New Moon Lodge has 3 bedrooms : One king bedroom, one Queen bedroom and a room with two queen beds. One half bath on second floor is shared by all bedrooms. A cozyTV room is at the top of the stairs. There is a 32" SmartTV with Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, PBS and other channels. 2023 install of High Speed Fiber Optic internet with 300mb+ and wifi calling. Streaming and multi-device friendly internet in a private forested setting. The main floor has a spacious kitchen, gas stove with a cast iron griddle in the middle. Full array of cooking utensils, pots and pans, and spices. refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and electric tea kettle. Full living room with lots of seating and space. There is one bathroom with bathtub/shower on main floor. There is one shower in the whole lodge shared by all. There is no dishwasher nor air conditioning but Lodge is naturally cool due to the owner built handcrafted earth berm design. During the growing season guests have access to a Cottage Garden with organic veggies and herbs.Bakery Lane cottage has one queen bed, bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Kitchen with all thats needed for cooking meals on a gas stove or in the microwave. There is a couch and kitchen table with two chairs. Check out the reviews as a stand alone rental on airbnb. Great spot for a couple.Guest accessEntire two homes with free parking for up to 4 vehicles maximum. New Moon lodge has two stories and Bakery Lane cottage is single story. Guests also have access to two campfire rings next to the lodge and cottage as well as picnic tables. Two gas grills are also available for guests. There is a 24' x 24' Basketball court.Other things to note: Bakery Lane cottage has a tiled shower, This rental is a bird and tree sanctuary and not a party house. Occupancy maximums will be strictly enforced. There is a shallow goldfish pond on site. Children under 3 must be watched as the homestead and lodge are not toddler proof.
