No joke - our Farm is the backdrop for a postcard sold in local shops for over 50 years! The home is a fully modernized 4 bedroom farmhouse perfect for a family vacation or a weekend getaway, surrounded by 45 acres of private land a mile and a half nature trail maintained for our guests to explore the various areas of the property. Get ready to breathe in the country air and go for a hike or just kick back on the spacious deck. Situated in the Blue Grass Valley of Highland County, South Branch Farm is located 15 minutes drive to Monterey. South Brach Farm takes its name from the headwaters of the South Branch of the Potomac River which flows through the front of this unique 45 acre property.Cell phone reception is very spotty in Highland County. SBF has a cell phone extender that works well if you are a Verizon customer.Do keep in mind that this is the country so it doesn’t have the conveniences of modern city life. For example, our water comes from a spring located on the property so guests may need to stagger their showers and limit the use of the washing machine to allow for the water system to keep up.The Farm is not "working farm" so there is no livestock on the property. ***SBF is closed November to early March.***
