Located in popular Locust Lake Village, this beautiful home is nestled on a spacious and private wooded lot within short walking distance of one of the community’s three private lakes. We’ve designed our chalet to be the perfect place to experience hygge, the Danish concept of coziness and togetherness. After spending the day exploring the beautiful lakes, ski hills and hiking trails in the surrounding area, you will love returning to The Burrow and cuddling up with a cozy blanket and cup of hot chocolate by the fire, enjoying a meal prepared in the well-appointed kitchen, playing board games, or simply cuddling up with a good book. The Burrow has three spacious bedrooms and a bonus room with a twin trundle day bed, providing plenty of space for your seasonal getaway. The main living area boasts large windows overlooking the surrounding trees and a comfy sectional perfect for relaxing. A Scandinavian style kitchen opens to the dining and living areas and has everything you need to prepare meals and snacks, along with ample storage space for groceries and supplies. The dining area seats eight and opens to one of the most enticing features of the house, a large screened in porch with plenty of extra seating for dining and gathering. The main living room is separated from the downstairs bedroom area with a charming sliding barn door. Down the hallway are two spacious bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, dresser, and TV. The downstairs also includes a full bathroom with double sinks, tub, and shower, and a separate laundry room. Upstairs, the master bedroom is private and peaceful, outfitted with a queen-sized bed, a cozy sitting area with TV, and a Juliette balcony overlooking the front garden. A full bathroom with shower rests at the top of the stairs. The fourth room is a bonus, offering an additional sleeping area with a twin trundle day bed, as well as a puzzle and game table, saucer chairs and floor pillows, and a large TV that can be connected to your gaming systems. Plenty of windows throughout the home provide calming views of the surrounding woods. Outside, enjoy your morning coffee on the wraparound deck with Adirondack chairs overlooking the front garden. In the evening, our firepit area has plenty of seating and the firewood is fully stocked and ready for a bonfire. If you’re visiting in the spring, enjoy the surprises nature provides from our lovingly tended garden. In the summer, you can pick fresh herbs from the garden – or even juicy cherry tomatoes if you’re lucky.The Burrow comes fully stocked with soft, hotel-quality sheets, bath & hand towels, comfy duvets, and soft blankets. We also provide plenty of board games, puzzles, books, and DVDs to keep you busy when you’re not enjoying all that the Poconos area has to offer.
