Houston County Lake is 30 miles west, Lake Nacogdoches is 40 miles northeast, and Lake Sam Rayburn is 46 miles west.Walking distance to hunting within the National Forest.The cabin includes a queen-size bed, bathroom with shower, recliners, 7.5 cu ft apartment-size refrigerator/freezer, coffee station, 7-gallon water heater, full-size stove with overhead large microwave. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, flatware, etc.Wi-Fi and a smart TV (no cable/satellite) available to use with your personal Hulu/Amazon information. Included is a Netflix account.Twin air mattress available upon request to accommodate an additional 1-2 people. Linens and complimentary toiletries provided.Lufkin is 30 miles away with plenty of shopping and restaurants. The Ellen Trout Zoo, Texas Forestry Museum, Narajo Museum-Natural History, and Kiwanis Park are a few of the favorites.Nacogdoches, self-proclaimed the oldest town in Texas, is home of Stephen F Austin State University. Along with the many historical houses, the downtown area is full of charming little shops. The calendar is full of events such as the Azalea Trail, Blueberry Festival, Pineywoods Fair, and many more.Guest accessThis is a full cabin all to your own. Plenty of parking space on-premises. Boat parking available. Small vegetable garden is onsite with seasonal produce.Grill and picnic table on site.Interaction with guestsWe live onsite with our two border collies and 17 free ranging chickens. Normally, we are available or a quick call/text away in case you need anything. We are always happy to meet and visit with our guest but want to honor those looking for complete privacy. We strive for the highest ratings. Please let us know what we can do to make your stay wonderful as soon as possible so we can correct it DURING your stay!
