Look up from the sleeping loft through a huge skylight past the branches to the night stars.This is a place to leave the city and urban culture behind - a TV-free zone (video/DVD/wi-fi available). A retreat into the world where the rest of nature speaks loudly. Where eagles circle and sing. You can touch true peace and magic here.Built by hand, with love, thirty years ago. Rock off of the mountain, cedar from the river. The loft and ceiling are redwood. It is a nest out of which books, articles, and visions of the world we are moving into have hatched and taken wing.The beach is a fifteen minute walk down the road, and a nice aerobic walk back up. A short drive to Oswald West State Park, the trail up Neahkahnie Mountain, the town of Manzanita, or Nehalem Bay State Park.
