The open concept great room and kitchen make spending quality time as a family easy! The ample counter space of the well appointed kitchen ensures that you have everything you need to whip up a delicious meal for your loved ones, then settle in for your meal time or a good game around the dining table. Comfortable seating around the gas fireplace and television with Roku streaming provides a cozy central living space for all to share with a nearby corner desk space, convenient for work or play.The forest east bedroom features a large window with elevated woodland views facing east, a queen size bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, a large dresser and a spacious closet.The rex room features a large window with elevated woodland views, 2 twin size beds fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, a bookcase filled with kids books and games, a dresser and a spacious closet. The central 2nd floor bathroom offers a standard vanity and toilet with a bathtub/shower combo so you can choose to start the day with a quick and refreshing rinse or you can sink in for a long, hot soak after all the activities a day in the Colorado Rocky Mountains may afford.Up a small ladder to the loft, you'll find a quiet, cozy kid's nook. A child's dream perch, with a small window looking over the woodland, an activity table, toy bins and bean bag chairs. Wander down the bright and cheerful stairway to the ground floor of the home. A large entryway ensures that you have all the storage space you need for hunting supplies, ski gear, hiking equipment, or anything else needed for your high alpine adventures. The spacious entertainment room offers plentiful seating and a variety of activity options including board games, darts, a freestanding punching bag and television with Roku streaming. The master suite features a large ground level window, a queen size bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, a dresser and spacious closet and ensuite access to the Jack-'n-Jill style bathroom.The ground floor bathroom offers a standard vanity and toilet with a large walk-in shower and the ground floor utility room contains a full size washer and dryer set available for guest use, so no need to waste precious vacation time making the trek to town and waiting at the laundromat.The large elevated deck of the home offers comfortable seating, an outdoor dining table and chairs, and a propane BBQ grill. From the deck, keep a watchful eye on the youngsters as they play the day away on the woodland playground equipment that includes a climbing wall to the top of the playhouse and a variety of swing options among the pines. A fenced in space under the deck provides the perfect place to store gear. A short walk from the deck, the propane fire pit offers a quintessential high alpine experience and is the perfect place to set up the telescope for an evening spent stargazing. Indian Mountain is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe elk, deer and foxes (just to name a few!) right on the property. Additionally, you may be able to see moose in their natural habitat in the wetland areas located around the nearby town of Fairplay.The Woodland Vista Retreat driveway is plowed in the winter and the roadways are maintained by the county, but FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED from November through May due to the frequent snow storms in this area.Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it's a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.DISCLOSURES* This home is located in the Central Rockies at approx.9,600 ft Please be advised that elevation and weather should be considered when deciding if this location is appropriate.* Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult. * This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and rodents may be encountered.
