The soft shale beach is interspersed with stacks of wide flat rocks making it easy to step or dive into the clear blue water. Instead of sea shells ... here you can hunt for magical "Aetites," the Greek word for Eaglestones. These unusual looking stones ... a mixture of iron, sand and clay ... were once rented as magic amulets to pregnant ladies by sorcerers in ancient pagan times to protect their unborn child from the evil demoness with many names ... such as Lilith or Gello.
