Leather swivel chairs will let you visit with those on the L-shaped sofa or turn to watch the Pacific Coast sunset through windows with full solar shades. A 65 inch TV is available with cable, WiFi, and DVD/ Blu ray player for your viewing entertainment.The spacious kitchen flows smoothly around the exceptionally large 10 X 7 granite island and the separate appliance pantry shelves hold all the stainless steel kitchen appliances a gourmet cook could truly appreciate--complete with crock pot, electric fry pan, crepe maker, flip waffle maker, toaster and electric pancake griddle. The kitchen, too, has stainless steel major appliances boasting 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers and 2 granite sinks for convenient entertaining . The 10 foot long dining table seats 8 easily; or visit with the cook and sit on any of the 6 bar stools at the island. Any seat in the kitchen has a fantastic view of the ocean or step out the dining room through the slider door and breathe in the salt air from a wrap around veranda complete with deck chairs. A booster chair with tray is in the pantry for those with little ones.Tired after a day at the beach? Wander into the library and peruse the hundreds of books in the well stocked library. If you find a book and start it and you can't finish, be my guest and take it home with you. Or maybe you would like to sit at the game table and work a puzzle or flip the table top and find a chess, checker and backgammon board. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and is decorated with soothing colors and quality linens. Two of the oversize bathrooms have custom glass showers with standing tubs--anyone for a bubble bath? One bath has a tub shower combo and the other two have walk-in showers with seats. The tub shower has a sliding door of rain glass and the other 2 walk-ins are enclosed with rain glass swinging doors. Extra interior wall insulation makes all the rooms more quiet. A Play-n-Pak is located in a bedroom closet for the little sleepers.Off the large covered deck that has chairs for setting in the sun or sea gazing is a trail that adjoins the 1 1/2 acres of woods and leads down to the private neighborhood beach. Walk South to the creek that meanders into the ocean and come up to the gravel drive and you are at the end of Surfland. Walking North along the paved street to return to the house's driveway you can appreciate the sedate neighborhood quiet. This house is definitely not a "party " house, but is meant for the serene enjoyment of friends and family and those who want to get together for a memorable weekend or week enjoying each others company.The house is located only 2 miles from the Oregon Aquatic Center and Mark Hatfield Science Center. The Science Center is free admission and adults will find it as interesting as children. Before leaving the area stop by the famous Rogue Ale Brewery for a pint and tour of the facility and enjoy the restaurant upstairs and view the Yaquina Bay. Just the other side of the bridge into Newport is the turn off to go down to the bay front. Past canneries bringing in the day's catch are restaurants and gift stores for the curious shoppers who will find that certain something they need to take home with them. Don't forget to go to the pier and look down to see the many sea lions on the dock below.
