1BR, 1BA Log Cabin Peace, nature, and privacy only 10 minutes from the quaint village of Nashville, IN. If this is what you are looking for, you have found it. The Owl’s Roost is a cozy, cute, comfortable cabin nestled on a hill in the woods. Pet friendly for any size well behaved pet. This cabin offers natural joy in all seasons. In Spring, look for wildflowers in the woods, listen to the happy little seasonal creeks that flow beside the cabin, watch for does with fawns, and enjoy the beautiful bright plumage of the birds at the feeders. In Summer, stay cool and relax on our shaded, screened porch and, if you choose, sleep out on the porch futon and listen to the summer night chorus of crickets, tree frogs, and katydids. In Fall, relish the beauty of the changing colors of the leaves and enjoy evenings around a campfire at the firepit. In Winter, snuggle up in front of the gas fireplace with a good book and feel the peace and quiet that is found only in the winter woods. This is an early1800’s era hand-hewn log cabin relocated to its current site in the 1960s when Lake Monroe was built. It maintains its old-time vibe, including a vintage 1949 stove that has been fully restored. Enter the covered porch by 2 steps and walk into the authentic kitchen. Despite its old-time feel, the cabin has been updated with all the essential modern amenities, including air conditioning and WiFi. The cabin features an upstairs bedroom with a queen-size bed, but be careful on the steep staircase. Everything else, including the bath with tub and shower, is on the main level .The Owl’s Roost offers tranquil enjoyment of the natural world in a great location that allows you easy access to Nashville and Bloomington. You may even be lucky enough to see the turkeys that regularly pass through the property. The Owl’s Roost is a charming, unassuming little cabin loved by its owners who are happy to share it with you. So call Hills O’ Brown Vacation Rentals, or make your reservations online when you have a few days to come and relax.
