Be sure to make an appointment upon booking this cabin. The cabin Willow is a family log home that sets one mile from the heart of Little Switzerland NC. It has 2 bedrooms 2 1/2 bath with a loft. Just outside the front door there is a pond where the frogs will sing to you at night. Look for the deer in the quiet of the morning while sipping a cup of coffee. The property is filled with nature. A photographer's paradise! We often see wild turkeys, foxes, Minks, Beavers, Possums, a variety of birds, such as hummingbirds, Hawks and nesting Geese. It is very relaxing to sit on the front porch and watch and listen to all the sights and sounds here. Bring your binoculars! Willow is less than a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway and The Little Switzerland Inn Resort. The Switzerland Inn has a pub that locals and travelers dine. The Books N Beans coffee shop/ Book Store, General Store and Little Switzerland Cafe all in the town of Little Switzerland, NC. Willow is centrally located. Lots of hiking, many waterfalls, horseback riding, local wineries, breweries, gemming mines.Including Mt. Mitchell, Crabtree Falls, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, The Apple Orchard just to name a few. Ask your host, Marsha about local destinations.Asheville, NC is an hour south. Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Boone, NC is 45 mins or an hour north. You can drive the Blue Ridge Parkway to get to any of these places.Walmart, CVS and Ingles grocery store are located in the town of Spruce pine, NC. Which is a few short miles from Little Switzerland, NC.The cabin Willow has everything to offer in a mountain getaway!
