A shared wood fire pit is accessible nearby.This is one of several cabins in Hot Springs that are located atop a 12.5 acre mesa with stunning views of the southern Black Hills of South Dakota. It's quiet, peaceful, and home to many types of wildlife. Ponderosa is a two room cabin with a combined kitchen/living room and a separate bedroom. The bedroom features a king size bed and sliding glass door for a beautiful view and easy access to the outdoors. Directly outside the sliding door is a private picnic table, gas grill and towering pines. Take a few steps to climb into your private hammock (weather permitting). The cabin and yard (front and back) are private to the individual booking guest. Shared spaces at Highland Meadows Resort include a wood fire pit, laundry, and The Meadow, a large meadow where you can play yard games or have a picnic.You'll check yourself in when you stay in any unit at Highland Meadows Resort. If we are out and about, we'd love to say hi, but don't feel like you need to make conversation if you prefer your privacy.Hot Springs, SD is a quiet town that's easily accessible via driving, walking, or biking.Ponderosa cabin has a few games to play and some books to peruse. There are shared yard games available in a storage shed next to a shared picnic area under the workshop awning.Ponderosa is the only rental cabin at Highland Meadows Resort that allows one pet per booking. If you plan on bringing a pet, please read and agree to our pet policy.No parties or events allowed. No smoking allowed. NO pets allowed. No unregistered guests allowed. Please respect quiet hours. Please turn off the AC when you go out. Please respect check-in and check-out times. Please take care of the furnishings. You have to pay for damages that exceed the security deposit. Please don’t rearrange the furniture. Please wash your dishes (and roasting sticks) and put them away where you found them. Please take the trash out before you leave. No illegal substances allowed on the premises.Pets must be kept in a kennel while indoors and off of all furniture. The host is allergic to pets and this is the only way we can allow pets. If there's obvious signs of pets on the furniture, we may charge a $200 extra cleaning fee.
