Work Remotely Welcome to our Shawnee Accommodations at The Denmark Stage Stop House!Our Shawnee accommodations is a private apartment with a private entrance, designated parking and a large yard dedicated to our Shawnee guests. The Shawnee is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a fully equipped full kitchen. We are dog friendly too, allowing up to 2 dogs per party.The living space is open concept to include the kitchen so no one misses out on the fun being had by family and friends. The living space opens directly to your large outdoor space and yard complete with a gas grill with side burner and outdoor seating. The couch in the Shawnee also converts to 2 twin beds for added guests. The Shawnee accommodates no more than 6 guests at any one time. The Shawnee has a large 4K Fire TV that can be viewed throughout the room, including the kitchen. We have also upgraded the 2 Alexa speakers in the living room so you may enjoy Amazon’s Unlimited Music or your favorite Sirius XM radio stations. We also have many board games, etc. for kids and adults, some may also be played adding Alexa as a player. Additionally, there is also an old fashioned WII with a few WII games.The living space is also home to “Sweepy”. “Sweepy” is our brand new Robot Vacuum to make is so easy for our guests to clean up when necessary and it couldn’t be easier, just ask Alexa to have Sweepy vacuum for you. Another extra for our guests is a speaker that connects remotely to Alexa to bring music from Amazon’s Unlimited Music or Sirius XM outside with you, while you are barbecuing for relaxing outdoors. The Shawnee kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, gas stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave and many added small appliances. There are 3 different types of coffee makers consisting of an auto drip, Keurig or French Press to satisfy everyone’s taste for coffee. We supply the coffee for the auto drip, so if you have favorite Keurig flavors and brands please bring them along. We also have a selection of teas for our guests to enjoy. Some of the small appliances in the kitchen include a new Instant Pot with accessories, toaster, blender, juicer, bagel slicer, pancake/waffle/omelet maker, and more. For those that are cooking or baking up something special if you need a Kitchenaide mixer - just ask me.The master bedroom in the Shawnee has a Queen bed and another 4K Fire TV for those that like to relax in bed watching their favorite movie or TV show. We also offer high quality bed linens for our guests. BTW all your beds will be made upon your arrival so if you arrive late and are desperately in need of a good nights sleep after traveling, all you need to do is pull back the covers and crawl in. Many of our guests rave about how comfortable this bed is.The second bedroom has a bunk style bed with a full bed on the bottom and a single bed on top. And of course, there is another 4K Fire TV in this bedroom too, so if you are traveling with children they can watch their own shows too.The bathroom is a favorite of so many guests, mostly due to the large size and the antique clawfoot tub that allows for a luxurious soak for those needing to relax, It is also a shower as well for those shower people. The bathroom linen closet is fully stocked with plenty of high quality towels for our guests. We do not however provide beach towels, so if a visit to the beach is part of your plans please bring along some beach towels as our towels are not to be taken to the beach. The bathroom also has a heated toilet seat as well as a heated towel rack and an electric fireplace heater for those looking for little ambiance and added warmth while enjoying that long soak. Alexa (Echo Devices) are provided in each room of the Shawnee, however for those that do not want Alexa all you need to do is unplug her.We also take our guests' safety very seriously too, therefore there are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors along with gas detectors. Please note none of these are to be deactivated for have battery removed at any time unless you have created an alert for cooking and after silencing the alarm(s) please replace. These alarms alert the entire building further ensuring everyone’s safety.While on the subject of safety, while Covid is not the threat it once was, we realize it is still very much a concern and we have continued our Covid cleaning practices to protect our guests and our staff. You can be assured every surface is cleaned and sanitized properly to kill the Covid virus along with any other bacteria and viruses.While we are definitely DOG FRIENDLY we have one very strict rule that we expect everyone to respect. NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON FURNITURE OR BEDDING - EVER!! Please realize we have other travelers that visit that have sensitivities and allergies to dog hair and their dander so we have to be considerate to all. All dogs must be leashed when outside and on the property.We have great WiFi, strong enough for those working remotely. We are also open to those wanting longer stays allowing them to work and vacation simultaneously. We have had many past guests that did just that and had no problems with an online meetings or work requirements. I worked remotely from here for 4 years with no issues with the exception of the rare outage by our provider Spectrum, which we have no control over. Please feel free to ask us any questions anytime and if you are interested in a longer term stay up to 3 months – let's talk. We are surrounded by so much fun as we are located in Maine's Lake Region. There are numerous lakes and ponds, hiking trails, Shawnee Peak Ski and Snowboard Resort is only 5.4 miles away. We are also only 25 minutes from North Conway, New Hampshire and the White Mountains. For Travel Nurses and Traveling Healthcare workers coming to the area we are only 6 miles from the Bridgton Hospital with many other area hospitals within driving distance. Traveling Healthcare workers can see more on Furnish Finder and others.
