Are you stressed out and need a break from normal life? We welcome you to come and relax and unwind in the Kingfisher Suite at River Bird Lodging located right on the Kiamichi River with the Kiamichi Mountains in your backdrop.We have two grills: a charcoal and a charcoal/gas combo, we provide the propane, you bring the charcoal.This property is our home and features stunning views, the sounds and view of the river right outside your suite and the perfect place to chill out and drink your coffee or other refreshing drink. Kingfisher Suite is a one bedroom with king bed, living area with queen sofa sleeper and an extra single sleeping cot for up to 5 sleepers and fully stocked kitchen.This suite is located next door to the Mockingbird Suite also listed on VRBO which sleeps 5 as well. Rent both suites to sleep up to 8 adults or 10 with kids. *Note* We as the owner’s live on-site very close to the rental cabin to help when needed so in addition to having other outdoor enthusiasts neighbors, you will see people at our property. If this is not what you are searching for, please book elsewhere. We also offer kayak and tube rentals for our guests of $15 per kayak or $10 per tube for the length of your stay. With a kayak rental, you can use the kayaks or tubes. Or bring your own kayaks and tubes!Our property is in a secluded area on 12 mostly wooded acres where you might find Native American artifacts as our property was previously occupied by the Choctaw people. Our place is perfect for families, fisher people, couples or friends vacationing together. The property also offers 1 RV hook-ups and plenty of parking room to bring your boat or ATVs. We are located about 15 miles East of Sardis Lake and about 20 miles Southwest of the Talimena National Scenic Byway. ATV trails, hiking, fishing, and scenic drives are all close by. Please note, the cottage is elevated about 10 feet off the ground and up 12 stairs. **Two night minimums for Fri and Sat; however if the suite is available last minute, one night can be booked for $145 + tax. One night bookings are available Sun-Thur for $145 + tax.
