This Old House - Entertainment Suite Summary:This space is such an "entertaining" place. It is within walking distance of nightlife, shops, and restaurants, as well as the Rec's splash pad and lazy river, a movie theater and so much more! There are also plenty of games and movies within. - NO CLEANING FEES**- Well behaved / quiet pets are permitted with prior approval and refundable depositNOTE: this is part of an up / down duplex and as such sound transfers. We have quiet hours and request guests show respect, but it is not perfect.The Space:This Old House was built in 1897 and is a completely remodeled duplex with both spaces being available to rent, separately or together. As with the Lofty Suite, the Entertainment suite is in an ideal location, within walking distance of many Massillon treasures (see neighborhood details). It is the ideal place to stay whether you want to entertain other guests or seek different modes of entertainment yourself. If you like to get out and about, this apartment is within walking distance of so many Massillon treasures (see neighborhood details), but if you prefer to stay in, there's so much inside to entertain you (plenty of games and great nostalgia-inducing movies). We hope to host you soon!There are three steps prior to accessing the unit. The first room is the kitchen, which leads to the living room, bedrooms and bathroom. The Washer / Dryer are in the basement (and the steps are steep).Guest Access:Guests have access to the downstairs apartment and basement (used only for the washer and dryer) the steps are steep into the basement so be careful.The Neighborhood:This house is within walking distance of so many entertainment treasures and Massillon staples:- The Rec Center (with a lazy river and kiddie play pool)- St. Mary's and St. Dymphna's shrine- Historic 4th Street- Massillon Movie Theater (with reclining seats)- MaMu (Massillon Museum)- The Towpath Trail- Many bars and restaurants - Save-A-Lot & Dollar GeneralSome other popular attractions include:- 10 minutes to Clay's Park- 20 minute drive to the Football Hall of Fame and McKinley Monument and Museum- 30 minutes to Akron / Cuyahoga Valley Scenic RR and Park- 1 hour to Cleveland, Rock n Roll hall of Fame, Science Center, Lake Erie Beaches - 2 hours to Pittsburgh- 2 hours to Columbus- 30mins to 1 hour to Salt Fork / Mohican / etc.Getting Around:There is only enough parking space for one car, so if you plan on bringing more, please let us know and we will let you know where to park.The house is a 20 minute drive from CAK and 1 hour drive from CLE.1/2 mile to the Massillon Transit Station for SARTAOther Things to Note:**If the unit requires excess amounts of cleaning - it will be charged back to the guest. Excess means extra elbow grease to get the place spotless, not standard wear and tear. We include a cleaning checklist and checkout instructions in the suites so you know what is considered "standard".Interaction with Guests:It's a keyless/code entry so you can arrive anytime after checkin. We live fairly close so if you need anything or just want to say hi and learn more about the community from us locals, let us know!
