Near Metro North and I-95, just an hour from Manhattan. Bring back memories of childhood summers—put your toes in the sand and your mind at ease, while enjoying the tranquility of this spectacular Long Island Sound getaway in Fairfield. Also, we have added Amazon Alexa and Fire Stick to our smart TV.Our cottage is just steps from a private beach (directly across the street). Everything is newly renovated, but has that rustic seaside feel. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family getaway, with Wifi for connecting to the world and even more opportunities to disconnect as needed. Additionally, we're thrilled to announce our partnership with B@Work Co-Working. We have opened a multi-level work space with views of the lake and waterfall, just about 3 miles from our charming Cottage by the Sea vacation rental. Our guests have access 24/7.Guests have use of the entire cottage, as well as unlimited access to the sunshine, sand, and sea.Cell phone number for Gerard(914) 393-2907Admittedly, it would be easy to hide away here for a week or more, without making much contact with anyone other than the gulls. That being said, Fairfield is also rich in foodie and entertainment options. Food: From pasta to pizzas, seafood to sushi, barbecue to burgers, and way beyond, you'd be hard-pressed not to find something for everyone, just blocks from the cottage.Brews: There is also a major movement of local area micro-brews, available in and around Fairfield, for those in need of adult beverages. Tunes: There is plenty of great live music and entertainment at the Fairfield Theater Company and the Quick Center (Fairfield University), and one of the state's best weekly open mic night's at the Acoustic Cafe in Black Rock.We're an easy bike ride to town, a longer walk, and a really short drive or Uber trip. The cottage is roughly a half mile from the Fairfield Metro North Train Stop (which is roughly an hour from Manhattan), and is a hop, skip, and a jump from Interstate 95 and the Merritt Parkway.Parking for three vehicle on-site. As this is a beach house, the parking area is small. If there are more than one vehicle, cars must be parked perpendicular to, and under the cottage. The parking spaces are small.We have a right of way access to the beach across the street. Our guests can use the beach up to high tide mark. When using the beach, please do not go on our neighbor’s property.We do allow gatherings, however, we expect our guests to be respectful of our neighbors. Please be mindful of the volume and timing of any events or gatherings. Enjoy yourselves, but the volume and time of gatherings must be in accordance with local laws and ordinances. More importantly, enjoy yourselves and allow our neighbors to enjoy their time as well.Use our Right of Way to access beach across the street. Please stay on Right of Way and avoid using our neighbor's driveway.When using the beach, stay with High Tide limits. Please do not set up on our neighbor's property.We want to be great hosts and great neighbors.
