Cozy Riverfront Adirondack Cabin [+ Bonus Cabin] Welcome to Cedar Hollow riverfront cabin, our home away from home in the beautiful, scenic Adirondacks. Relax and unwind at the cabin or adventure in the heart of the Adirondack mountains with the many activities the area has to offer, from boating to skiing and everything in between. There is no peak time to visit, as the picturesque fall foliage is just as beautiful as the snowy winters and warm summers.Just steps away from the scenic Hudson River, which you’ll find across the street, there’s no better place to step into nature and embrace the quiet outdoors. Sit out on the front porch with your morning coffee and take in the peaceful sounds of the running water, snuggle up and read a book on the couch in the living room, kick back and warm up in front of the fully-functional wood stove, and look up and see every star in the night sky when the sun goes down at the end of the day. The 2-acre property is just 20 minutes north of Lake George Village, 15 minutes from Gore Mountain, and 45 minutes from Saratoga, all of which offer year-round activities. Nonetheless, our property was designed so that you never actually have to leave to enjoy life in the Adirondacks, making it an ideal, Covid-friendly retreat. When booking Cedar Hollow, you are booking two cabins in one. The rustic-chic main cabin has a bedroom with a queen-size mattress and smart TV (with Netflix log in), an open living room with a futon couch, a well-equipped kitchenette for home cooked meals, a full bathroom, and a tucked away washer and dryer which are free to use. The second, smaller cabin is accompanied by a cozy wood stove, custom built bar, and plenty of games which are all available to use as you please. Please note there is NO running water in the smaller cabin. There is a twin size daybed and small loft with a queen mattress. The bar is equipped with a mini-fridge and everything you’ll need to serve the liquor that you bring yourself (ages 21+). There is a rustic fire pit outside surrounded by hanging lights so you can unwind and enjoy a view of the river around a fire. The area only services AT&T cellular data, but the cabin has fast-speed internet which can handle multiple devices, making it a great work-from-home destination. ACTIVITIESIn the cabin you will find a local guide to our favorite swimming holes, hiking trails, fishing spots, and local food/drink recommendations. Below is a list of just a few.- Gore Mountain (13.9 miles): winter skiing, snow tubing, fall Gondola rides, mountain biking and more- Lake George (15.5 miles): summer boat rentals, parasailing, jetskiing, winter carnival, waterfront dining, mini golf, premium shopping outlets- Breweries/Wine Tasting: Adirondack Brewery (16.0 miles), Northway Brewing (22.0 miles), Adirondack Winery (15.5 miles)- Six Flags Great Escape (21.3 miles)- Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course (17.3 miles)AMENITIESKitchenette: basic cookware, seasonings, convection oven/toaster oven, hotplates, french press, refrigerator, crock pot slow cookerBathroom: towels, laundry detergent, hair dryer, shampoo and soapLinens and extra blankets for the winter time HEATING/COOLINGIn the summer the cabin is cooled with AC window units and in the winter is heated with baseboard electric heat controlled by a thermostat, as well as an electric fireplace. There are space heaters in the small cabin in addition to the wood stove, which guests are free to use with care. (Please do not use the wood stove if you are not comfortable using one). The space is small so it heats up and cools down quite quickly. There are lots of windows throughout the cabin to allow a cool breeze of fresh Adirondack air. Must be 25 years or older to book.The cabin can comfortably sleep 4 people. If you are looking to fit more guests please send me a message to see if the cabin can accommodate. There are local ordinances for quiet hours between 10pm-7am.Absolutely NO smoking inside, on the deck or within 25’ from the cabins. Absolutely NO drug use including marijuana , absolutely NO parties or unauthorized guests. This is our private home and we ask that guests respect the property as such. Failure to comply will result in reservation being terminated immediately without refund.GUESTS ** Must read**With exception of linens and towels, we ask that you reasonably leave the cabins as you found them. This means place your garbage in the provided cans/bags and do not leave trash laying around. Please wash your dishes used as we provide dish soap, sponges and a drying mats. Please put away all board games, electronics, card games, etc after use. If you use the grill, please clean it afterward and place cover back on after the grill cools down. Our cleaners do a great job to clean the cabin, sanitize, restock items and replace all linens and towels and turn over the cabin for the new guests. Any damages and/or disregard for the above stated will result in a extra cleaning charge.
