Private studio in Berkeley Hills Enjoy a comfortable modern studio in our Berkeley Hills home. We are directly above UC Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, the Gourmet Ghetto (North Berkeley restaurant mecca), and the wonderful trails and attractions of Tilden Park. San Francisco and the Napa wine region are both a short drive away.This property has a minimum 6 month lease.The lower level studio opens onto a deck with our vegetable garden and spacious patio. The kitchenette has a sink, microwave, toaster oven, mini-fridge, double hot plate, blender and coffee maker. Fold down Murphy bed with very new Avocado queen mattress. Bed has a simple desk built in when it is folded up. There is a "Design Within Reach" couch that converts into a very comfortable king-size bed (or can be used as a twin), and the large private bathroom has a walk-in shower with seat. There is a gas wall heater that you control. There is no entertainment system or TV. For the eco-conscious and chemically sensitive: the flooring is recycled cork, paint is zero-VOC, sheets and towels are organic, and all cleaning supplies we use are non-toxic. Free very fast wireless.One of the best features of our location is easy access to fantastic trails in Tilden Park and Strawberry Canyon. Literally 200 yards away are great hiking, running and mountain bike trails, which we use extensively, so we can make great recreation recommendations. Our garden is our oasis with young fruit trees, vegetables, berry bushes, and chickens roaming about. We hope that you enjoy it!Beautiful Tilden Park Golf Course, with it's Grizzly Bar and Grill, is a two-minute drive. We are also very close to awesome kids attractions like the Lawrence Hall of Science (kids science museum - 5 minute walk), and the Steam Trains narrow-gauge railroad, Tilden Carousel, and Little Farm petting zoo (5-10 minute drives). Public transit goes right by the house for car-free access down the hill to Berkeley.We have provided ample storage space for short and long term guests.All the neighbors have lived here for decades, and are very quiet and helpful.
