Lakefront Cottage: Relax, Kayak and Swim This cozy cottage right on the edge of the lake is the perfect spot to unwind. Enjoy relaxing, kayaking, and swimming from your own dock. Comfortably furnished spaces with two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, breezy screened-in porch with a beautiful view, and living/dining room with a cozy fire for chilly evenings. A few minutes from the towns of Damariscotta and Round Pond, with charming shops and restaurants. Easy access beaches, lighthouses, and coastal nature preserves.This lakeside cottage is on McCurdy Pond: a 200 acre, pristine mile long fresh water lake that sits at the top of the Pemaquid watershed. The cottage is right at the edge of the water with a breathtaking view that you can enjoy from the large screened in porch or the dock. The lake is a great spot to see a variety of birds- from loons to bald eagles.There are two bedrooms with comfortable full sized beds. One of the bedrooms features a stunning lake view through sliding glass doors that lead out to the waterfront. Enjoy your breakfast with a lake view at the dining table on the screened-in porch, or cozy up next to the fire in the living room on chilly evenings. The cottage is insulated and heated for year-round comfort and enjoyment. For a low-key night in, choose from a large selection of shows and movies on the TV with provided Netflix. The fiber internet provides fast WiFi for video calls if you need to stay connected while away. Go for a paddle on the lake in the provided kayaks to make this the perfect lakefront experience. In the winter time, the lake freezes over and is a wonderful spot for ice skating, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and ice fishing.Guests have the entire guest cottage to themselves as well as their own dock. The dock is available seasonally between late May to early October. The guest cottage shares a driveway with our home on the property.
