With 3 levels and sleeping accommodations for up to 6 adults and 4 children, this is a terrific place for a family gathering or a Highlands weekend getaway. The main level includes a living room with French doors leading to the upper deck, a wood burning fireplace, kitchen with a gas stove, and a dining area seating 6. The master bedroom has a king bed, en suite bathroom and French doors leading out to a private screened deck with an outdoor dining table. Downstairs, a second living room with direct access to the garage allows extra space to entertain with TV, ping pong table, foos ball table, and a kitchenette area that opens up to the lower deck. It also has a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and laundry room. Upstairs, the loft has two twin beds and a futon for extra sleeping. Also upstairs, a third bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom. Outside, there is a seated fire pit area to roast marshmallows, and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets! Or if going out to dinner and shopping is more your speed, we are conveniently located less than than 20 minutes from the shops and restaurants at Main Street Highlands, NC and Clayton, GA. For the outdoor enthusiasts, we are 5-9 minutes from the Highlands Outpost, Highlands aerial park, and the Bartram trail, where you can experience the Scaly Mountain Screamer rollercoaster, Extreme Tubing Slide, Gem Mine, winter snow sledding , trout fishing, zip lining, terrific hiking, and RTV tours. At 4000 foot elevation, Sunset ridge at Scaly Mountain is a great place to escape to a new climate, do some great hiking, and take in all that the highlands plateau has to offer!
