From the moment you drive into the resort, you will be taken back by the breathtaking mountain landscape. The awe continues as you pull up to our cottage and are greeted by the sounds of the rushing creek just steps away!Your mountain retreat features THREE spacious bedrooms (one king, two fulls, and one queen) with luxurious mountain inspired furnishings, two and a half baths, a roomy family and dining room, gourmet kitchen and separate laundry room. The screened in porch with stacked stone fireplace is sure to be the backdrop for many of your memories made, it is ideal for making s'mores with your kids, lingering over a cup of coffee (or glass of wine) while catching up with an old friend, enjoying a book in one of our rocking chairs, savoring a meal Al fresco or just relaxing by the fire taking in the sounds of the creek. You will enjoy all the comforts of home with multiple televisions, long distance, and high speed wireless internet. Whether your agenda is to relax or fill every minute of your time here, Bear Lake has something to offer! Come hike one of our many groomed trails, catch a fish in one of the stocked trout ponds, spend the afternoon boating on the crystal clear lake, play a round of golf, or take in the sunset at the pool overlooking the mountains and lake. In addition, Bear Lake Reserve has onsite dining, tennis courts, Frisbee golf, and fitness center with sauna, steam and locker rooms. Access to ALL the Bear Lake amenities are INCLUDED in your rental rate. Bear Lake Reserve is located between Cashiers and Sylva, North Carolina. It is approximately 2.5 hours from both Atlanta and Charlotte.Effective May 1, 2021, all Guests of Bear Lake Reserve will be responsible for paying a Resort Preservation Fee. This fee will be $30/day (with the maximum fee per stay being $150 or 5 days) and will be charged upon check in at the Greeter’s Cottage. The Resort Preservation Fee will be charged directly to each rental party for each day of their stay, with the maximum fee being $150. Upon arrival at the Greeter’s Cottage, guests will continue to complete the Guest Registration Form and place their credit cards on file as they have in the past. The Gate Host staff will then charge the card on file based on the number of days the guests will be staying on site.
