The Lodge on Chestnut Hill features TWO Authentic “Turn of the Century” log cabins. Yes, you get two cabins for the price of one! These 2 historic log cabins are really something special. They are the corner stone of our mountain community and they're full of spicy folklore that we would love to share with you! Built in 1920 and completely renovated in 2018, we were able to restore the original luster of the hand hewed log walls and magnificent stone fireplace. Then we added just a few modern conveniences. The Main Cabin features two bedrooms with new queen pillow top mattresses that will ensure a perfectly comfortable stay. There is also a small bedroom area also has a new twin pillow top mattress. Keeping with the era, the bathroom in the main cabin features the original clawfoot tub/shower. The deck features a gas grill, hot tub, dining table and beautiful mountain views. Right next door, the Sunflower Cabin features a beautiful vaulted ceiling that expands through the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. The cabin has two bedrooms with queen beds and a walk in shower in the bathroom. The bonus room or sunroom is a wonderful gathering space. The deck has a gas grill, a dining table with 4 chairs and amazing mountain views. Both cabins have WiFi Intenet, flat screen smart TV's, with YouTubeTV for local broadcasting and Free Netflix! And of course, pets are always welcome! We just fenced in the back yard to insure the safety of your kids and pets. PLEASE NOTE: If you're bringing a pet there is a one time $75 pet fee. Conveniently located 12 miles from Asheville and 8 miles from Chimney Rock & Lake Lure. This historic log cabin is perfect for those who want to be in the mountains but close enough to Asheville to enjoy all that the city has to offer. Enjoy our cool evenings in front of the large stone fireplace. Relax under the stars in the hot tub, or roast marshmallows around the fire pit, or enjoy family Barbecues on the deck with amazing mountain views. Whether you’re planning a Romantic get away or a large family reunion the Lodge at Chestnut Hills and the Sunflower Cabin will definitely surpass your wildest expectations!NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:5 minutes: Bear Wallow Trail, Hickory Nut Trail.10 minutes: French Broad River, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure Beach, Water Park & Boat Rentals.30 minutes: Asheville, Biltmore Estates, Hendersonville, Saint Paul's Vineyards, Green River Tubing, Zip-lining, Tryon Equestrian Center.This cabin is easily accessible in the winter months, but we highly recommended four-wheel drive in January-February.
