Indeed, the area is respected for skiing and snowboarding or hiking in the warmer season. Phoenicia was voted No. 1 destination outside of NYC by Curbed New York, a real-estate and travel blog. Further it was named by Travel and Leisure's in the "25 Easy Weekend Getaway" destinations. Also, it was voted by Budget as one of "Ten Coolest Small Towns in America". In fact, you can enjoy concerts e.g. The International Festival of the Voice, various local restaurants, a yoga studio, cute shops and wild water tubing. Have breakfast or brunch at the famous Phonecia Diner make sure you enjoy a barista style coffee or snack out of their cool airstream just parked next to the diner.
