Welcome to the SonAra retreat, a secluded property where you can enjoy stunning views from every room! Just 5 min from downtown Saugerties, this house is nestled perfectly between the Catskill mountains and all the lively towns the Hudson River Valley has to offer.Outside, this 5 acre property boasts a heated pool, hot tub, fire pit, pond, grill & more. And inside the 4000 sq ft interior you'll find luxurious & fun amenities to ensure that you'll have a memorable (and comfortable!) stay.Hi! My name is Matt, and I co-host this property with my wife, Niki. As frequent guests ourselves, we set out to create the ultimate year-round rental for groups of all ages and interests to come together and create lasting memories. The property is set on 5.2 acres only 5 minutes off the highway at the foot of the Catskills mountains (No stress access/parking in the winter). There is 3000 sq ft of indoor space in the main part of the house, plus 1000 more sq ft in the finished basement that includes a gym, hidden speakeasy, and a cinema/game room.Outside we made sure to offer spaces, amenities, and activities for all year round. In the summer we have the heated pool, a BBQ, and a bunch of lawn games including horseshoes, corn hole, bocce ball, croquet, and others. In cooler months we have a wood burning fire pit in the yard, a propane fire pit on the deck, and a heated sun room near the hot tub.Inside, with the help of the incredible @steven_alan_interiors, we worked through the interior design with a consistent focus on 2 things: 1) making the most of the natural surrounding, and 2) encouraging guests to disconnect and enjoy the company they came with. That's why you'll see features like the "hidden" tv in the living room. Besides the fact that it looks cool, it allows the living area to be better set up for conversation, board games, drinking games, etc. A the same time, all the comforts of home and latest tech is there when you need it, even if it's a bit hidden. And when choosing furniture and room design, we made sure that whether you're there for a bachelorette party, a family reunion, the HITS shows, with a group of friends, or there to work, you'll have everything you need and more to have a great trip.Last, when it comes to service and amenities (too many to list here!), our goal is to be on par with what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. I ask that you do recognize we are in a fairly remote location (if you're used to a city) and there is not a 24 hour concierge, however we do out very best to be responsive through VRBO messaging to handle any questions, concerns, or requests in a timely manner. We also provide tools like a digital guidebook with local points of interest, recommendations, and local contacts, so you can spend less time on Yelp and more with your fellow guests!So with that, thank you for your time and interest in our home..
