Big Indian Creek-side Home Welcome to our creek-side dwelling, an outdoor lover’s dream.Spend your time hiking the nearby trails or exploring the historic villages and discovering the secrets of the Catskills if you know where to look. When you’re done adventuring relax and recharge in our comfortable home, grill out or make memories around the firepit. Our home offers 1 bedroom with a queen size bed with a closet to put away your belongings. There is one full bathroom. The living room has plenty of space with two couches and a Smart TV (via Chromecast). The dining area has a large table and the kitchen area provides ample space for those who love to cook. There is a front porch from where to enjoy the sun rise, a large back deck with a gas grill and a spacious yard with a picnic table and firepit. Feel free to take a dip in the creek on a hot day!The home has cell service (mostly) and is equipped with high speed Wifi to keep you digitally connected for recreation or remote work.Guest has access to the entire home and property. The well water is filtered and can have a slight metallic taste, some guests prefer bottled water. The well water is potable but can have a slight metallic taste to some people. You will notice the water pump come on from time to time when you are using the water, this is perfectly normal!• The well is a shallow water well (or spring box) and provides ample water for normal use for the number of guests. Excessive use will result in the pump cycling on/off repeatedly or discoloration in the water, if this occurs please stop using the water for an hour or 2 to avoid damage to the pump and water system. Call property manager if you have any questions• The sewage is an old original septic tank. It’s recommended that only toilet paper gets flushed, and not excessive amounts.• Access to the creek is tricky as the bank is a few feet high and the stones can make footing difficult. There is a wooden ladder in the shed for use at your own risk. If you use the ladder please replace it. • The shed has tools and general household chemicals. No children allowed in the shed• The area beyond the shed is an old vegetable patch and is unsafe to enter as there is barbed wire. I recommend you steer clear of this area.CookingPropane Gas Range - No pilot required for range. Be sure to turn off, of course. I do have a propane leak detector.GarbageGarbage bags should be tied and put in the bear proof garbage can that is cabled to the utility pole by the driveway. Please make sure the lid latches by pulling up on it after closing it. ACThere is a window unit we put in the bedroom window, obviously guests shouldn’t open the window when the window unit is in place. There is also a floor fan.Coffee makerWe have a kettle and French press (cafetiere). There is also a NespressoPublic TransportThe property is arguably accessible by public transport.
